Yeah it's really retarded. Then again I don't know any better alternatives. Bing's results are clearly better than Google's, but Bing itself is shit to use, and the !bangs are a very convenient feature. Yeah I could host SearxNG locally but it kinda misses the point of being private when all of your requests go out of the same IP address.
