I don’t use the off-topic boards/discuss my personal interests much because of OPSEC concerns, but I’m an extremely paranoid schizofag and I wager most people will be fine using those parts of the site as long as they exercise the proper precautions. It’s all just a matter of ensuring there’s a degree of separation between you and the community and not treating the place like a social media platform.

I mean the @Retard of the Month didn't re-used an username, he used a specific word that he coined that allowed people to find his Twitter once they searched this word on goggle and on his Twitter they found a post linking to his book where one of the characters of the book was the same as his username.

Yes, but the book was only found because he used the word fictopedophilia which people google searched and found his Twitter in the process, in which he had a posted a link to his book. If he had his Twitter private or didn't linked to his book, he wouldn't have been found out.

Ironically his username wasn't easy to track but rather what it was easy to track was fictopedophilia. Him using a word he coined was what allowed for people to track him.
