Check either the Andrew Tate official thread or in the Articles subforums, as I am too tired currently to dig it up, but Hooked did genuinely believe Andrew Tate has been framed, or something to that extend, for human trafficking at that time. Regarding the accusation he (Andrew) messaged a 16 year old on instagram to recruit her into his cam empire at a later date in Romania (20 years her senior). Just because Romanias AOC is 15 does not excuse him anywhere except in the court of law. Legality does not equal morality.
Missed this but if I can clarify, I know the posts you are speaking of, and it was actually casting doubt on people whining that he DEFINITELY did something illegal under those laws. I made no MORAL judgement, as much as questioned if he DID do something illegal which was "obvious", why was he flat out released from prison?
Infact you SORT of feed into that point a bit too
So he didn't violate the AOC in that situation and its doubtful if he violated trafficking laws as they are WRITTEN in romanian law, since they released him from jail. Still not a good guy, but I think people who sperg about "he definitely did something illegal" are autistically assuming that laws ALWAYS forbid immoral behavior (they don't).
I think I also made a joke about how people legitimately thinking he dodged a ton of charges he DEFINITELY did were inadvertently pumping up his reputation as a "top G" whos "fighting the matrix", rather than being just another scumbag whos exploiting people through legally acceptable means. And I think saying otherwise is STRANGELY enough, his own haters making him sound more impressive than he actually is. Which is fucking retarded, why boost the reputation of someone you hate especially when its not even true?? He wasn't a criminal mastermind gangster who covered up a massive operation, he simply kept his shit JUST within legal means, so charges didn't stick, Doesn't mean hes not a prick. hes just an opportunistic scumbag who consulted a lawyer first.
IKOL at worst has committed predation on a teenager, at best flirted with the idea of e-dating a teenager.
Actually IKOL / tate comparison is a real good illustration of my point. Both are legal, but only one of them I'd grant cross cultural additional tolerance. IKOL wasn't trying to monetize dozens of girls online, and even felt conflicted about it, but tates was monitizing, exploiting, and his entire limits are dictated by law, nothing else. Tate is OBJECTIVELY more repugnant, even if legal. So the repugnant stuff extends PAST the wiggle room granted by a different countries standards, by a good margin.
Also Hooked on Phobics, I do not have evidence nor am I accusing you of anything. Just pointing out that what you consider normal does not mean it is normal, nor that other subsets of people see it as normal.
Its not as much as I consider it normal, as much as I realize "normals" vary globally. Its kinda impossible to avoid this, theres many different countries, who don't have the EXACT same norms. And I think its a good thing to have a LITTLE bit of leniency with this, when it comes to judging people doing stuff WITHIN their countries norms, if its not india or some place completely fucked. And I would want the same. I mean FFS I engage in hate speech illegal in UK, I eat beef which is illegal in india, And I've drank booze which is illegal in middle east. And I'd PREFER to not be treated like shit for it if I'm obeying my countries laws. ITS DEFINITELY one thing if they COME to america, thats a whole different ball game, but getting mad about a russian, in russia, acting within russian laws, and acceptable within russian norms.... It just seems a little autistic to fixate over, and its not like its going to do jack shit since they are IN russia, short of make people from any other country with similar laws think "crazy americans, pissed off countries are different than them".
Its not me SAYING its "the" norm, or ideal, or really ascribing any moral judgement, its more looking at this and asking "ok, are they abusive? a freak? a tranny? doing it to make money off girls? ect? no? Ok, well, thats allowed there, and I don't see other BS so.... is it really worth causing a fuss over? will it even do anything?"
And I'd hope the same for those examples I listed, I hope a UK faggot wouldn't lambast me for hate speech, I hope an indian wouldn't hate me for eating a cheese burger, and I hope a muslim wouldn't hate me for drinking a beer. And I think some minimal reciprocity in this kinda thing is a good thing, that generally helps with cross cultural relations.
Also you're good, I didn't take any of what you said the wrong way.
