4chins is just extension of Reddit: the sanitized internet.
I see them as two forks of the same attempt at social engineering via "Dead Internet" skinner boxing: Reddit is more overtly about operant conditioning via the fake meritocracy of its karma system, tranny moderators trying to memory-hole reality itself, and 1,200 tech employees in San Mateo pretending to be every communist in the world, with all the garbage noise generated by this funneled engagement upsold as highly pertinent and valuable data for AI training, as well as "market research" for the world's most cynically demagogic marketing firms - despite being a site in which the vast majority of its registered accounts are either bots or long-inactive. Being a public company means that the most bald-faced shenanigans and attempts to bury scandals are yet to either come or come to light.
4chan, on the other hand, is a broken LEA honeypot in which topic curation is perfomed by a dozen Discord trannies scheduling who's going to continuously spam BBC and girldick threads for the sake of pushing non-astroturfed topics off the page, with compromised mods protecting the practice. The media and lifestyle boards in which BBC and girldick threads are disallowed are all seeded and astroturfed seething against specific brands and celebrities, for guilt-by-association sanctimony no different in principle from what you see on ResetEra and other cognitive distortion-driven communities serving to remind the rest of us that all luxury beliefs are paraphilias. The /tv/ board is interesting because it's still being used for the antagonism-marketing practices which backfired on Disney's, Fox's, HBO's, Amazon's, and Sony's tentpole franchises dating back to at least 2018 (bottom-rung "contributing" journalists for web periodicals paid to generate a particular story through stirring the pot by spamming threads shitting on media, for the sake of reporting negatively on the subsequent dogpiling; and all for the sake of reinforcing a boardroom executive's story intended to convince stockholders that "online trolls" are to blame for the market failure of the product, rather than the quality of the product they produced).

Of course, the "sanitized internet" extends well beyond those two - But it's all subdivided into farms and slaughterhouses for the practice of competing industries using novel forms of masturbation to seed the sentiment that one's preferred form of escapism should determine reality for others. Though I put the off-topic preamble in spoiler tags for the sake of all the readers who are just skimming the thread looking for their own name, I feel it helps flesh out why so many of the people who end up in this thread act so oblivious to the obvious consequence of publicly authoring their own misery: The engagement models of whichever skinner boxes they wandered in from have previously conditioned them to act out in the belief that they're no worse than anyone else and; therefore, unlikely to be singled out for egregious behavior. And they're being bred more complacent, all the time.
