The Elder Scrolls

So the official lore is that Vivec disappears at the end of the third era, before Oblivion. His fate is murky.

But does anybody else think it would be really fitting if he "disappears" because you, the reincarnated Nerevarine, bust a cap in his ass sometime after defeating Dagoth Ur?

I mean, fuck that floating faggot. Backstabbing son of a bitch.
I assumed the "disappeared" thing was in order to not canonize whether the Nerevarine did or did not end up killing him, since it's the player's personal choice. So either he disappeared because he died or disappeared for some other reason even if he wasn't killed by you. But he has the second-largest soul in the game so why wouldn't you? Just kill the guy and put him in a sword or staff or whatever as revenge.

I think making vivec live through the red year is punishment enough.

Vivec is the DSP of Elder Scrolls, I soul trap him every time. Fuck that smug asshole.
Funny, because when Phil actually played Morrowind guess what his thumbnail was?

I figure when DSP plays a Bethesda game, and he complains about "broken game mechanics," he's got about a 50% chance of actually being right.

Phil is such a fixture that if anything were to happen to him, we'd all get the "with this character's death, the thread of prophecy is severed" popup irl.
No, Phil is such a fixture, he would actually be the one character IRL who's invincibility flag would be set to on. He just couldn't die in the first place.

Couldn't find a Bethesda thread so I post it here, if it exists just move it.

Are you looking forward to Elder Scrolls 6, I hope not. They/Them producer with Palestine flag.
I know it's wasted energy, but maybe don't give money to these scumbags.

Elder Scrolls 3, 4, and 5 came in such rapid succession that it was mostly the same team making the games.
After 15 years there's barely any of the old guard left, and those who are left are just there for the paycheck now.
It stands no chance.

This is why I liked old Bethesda. They just left everything open, like how every Daggerfall ending happens at the same time.

Within reason, I suppose, they didn't account for the fact that you can Command Humanoid any travel NPC up to Red Mountain then Command Creature the Heart of Lorkhan and fast travel away to abduct it. That bitch mine now.

Wait, what?!?

LOL.

Okay, that's funny. I didn't know you could do that!

That's how you know Morrowind is a great game. When people are still discovering shit decades later.

Have you seen Starfield? It makes Outer Worlds look conservative, something I very much remind the screeching fanboys whenever I see them(a dying breed these days, unfortunately). Elder Scrolls 6 is fucked, and frankly anybody who is still a Bethesda cultist WILL give them their money since nothing will ever convince them not to. Event horizon was Fallout 76, that was when vast majority of Bethesda fans with any brains left the cult, Starfield was when they got the confirmation they made the right move. This is not surprising in the slightest, Starfield is not just a shitty game but one made by disgusting people and TES6 will be no different.

Also, nice of this asshole to copy New Vegas for their banner, almost as if admitting that their own Fallout aesthetics suck ass so they have to copy Black Isle/Obsidian at every occasion whenever money is on the table. Kind of like when Fallout 76 incentivized their players to paypig for the premium Fallout 1st monthly subscription with a random NCR Veteran Ranger armor set that does not belong anywhere in that game instead of some armor set from Fallout 3 or 4, since none of them are any good.

Don't forget that open world games were something of a novelty back then, now we are swimming in them to the point many people are straight up tired and want to go back to shorter, more linear experiences. TES isn't special anymore, people learned to just enjoy Skyrim until the end of time since mods are still regularly coming out, and since 6 will most likely still use CE2 aka Starfield engine, well we know how limiting that will be for both what can be done with the game and modding it.
