People making fun of Bethesda making exaggerated clips comparing it to KCDII with all the loading screens will aways be funny.

:story::stress:
KCD and less so with KCDII literally had these exact loading screens on every single one of those interactions. With the big fancy battles are especially egregious breaking the flow of the entire fight with one having like five long loading sections within a span of 10 minutes. You might say I'm exaggerating 'come on that's just the animation playing out there's not an actually loading screen!' No, there can actually be a literal loading screen upon picking a single bloody flower in KCD :stress::story:

It was as much of a success as a niche game like that could be.

My only hope is they know this is their last shot.
I thought Starfield was their last shot? mostly due last remaining talent they had leaving during production.

I'm beginning to think the people who harp on about what TES used to be didn't actually play Morrowind because I'm sneaking around in heavy armor, and I'm going to be the leader of the Thieves' Guild, Fighters' Guild, and Morag Tong in a couple of quests.
would be the arch mage too but i already did that in my deliberately broken run

I will say getting rid of acrobatics, wearing clothes beneath armor, having a lot of armor pieces to collect, levitate, mark, and recall were grievous mistakes though. Morrowind and Oblivion have about the same quality of writing outside the main quests, lore, and guilds. Morrowind has the first two. Oblivion murders the fuck out of Morrowind and Skyrim's guild questlines. They're just way too mundane in Morrowind and absurdly fantastical in Skyrim. Oblivion hits them all just right, incorporating the things your guild does with plots that make sense. The Mage's Guild was the weakest in that game, but it still felt more engaging than anything I've played in Morrowind so far.

Wrong, the original game was about as successful as a niche game like that can be. The sequel blundered in more or less every way it could and alienated much of it's fanbase along the way. There is some fans of KCD2 for sure, but for the most part the reception was negative.

There was a Cyberpunk video and a Palworld video that did something similar and it just highlighted more how fucking awful and jarring Bethesda loading screens can be.

Every single Bethesda game can be broken into tiny little pieces eventually by design, however Morrowind is a rare Bethesda game that actually requires you to pay attention to your build in the early to mid game if you want to get anywhere. That's where a lot of waxing poetic about these games being actual RPGs comes from, meanwhile you can more or less be a jack of all trades from the very start in Skyrim and to a lesser extent Oblivion, especially if you have gaming meta knowledge from a previous playthru that will make the game even easier. Try as you might, there is only so much you can do in Morrowind at level 1, especially if you don't play to the strengths of your build.

Besides lazy gameplay choices I want to hear everyone’s predictions for how they’ll fuck up the lore in TES 6, the dumber the better. Remember that the dev team is full of trannies now and Todd has a hateboner for anything fun or interesting.

Here’s mine:

- All good redguard lore stripped in favor of making them lazy pastiche black fantasy Arabs
- Cyrus brought back through reincarnation/time travel in incredibly forced and embarrassing way
- Prominent trans NPCs, the writers will introduce lore codifying trannyism into the metaphysics of Aurbis. There will be contrived reasons for every tranny to be an essential NPC as a token attempt to prevent a social media shitstorm of killcam edits.
- Direnni clan exists as a joinable faction, presented as generic LotR “good guy elves” but written as gay liberals to set them up against the Thalmor
- Thalmor reduced to MAGA/European Identitarian analogues (this will backfire when people start comparing them to Zionists instead)
- Writers jump the shark and introduce colony of dwemer that escaped being fused into Numidium

Final edit: I’m also worried that now that TES has the tongue-in-cheek reputation as the “the racist fantasy setting” because of the Stormcloaks and everything about the Dark Elves (not even starting with the fact that the Kirkbrideian metaplot is a literal metaphysical RaHoWa between men and mer), the devs are going to introduce a ton of libcuck faggotshit to countersignal everybody having too much fun online.

Come on now. A forced animation (at least if you don't mod it out) isn't the same thing. I've never had one just picking a flower.

come on now, it's fun to dunk on Re(master)Todd because he is the face of retarded corporate decisions, especially due to overall fecal bacteria sepsis that affected their parent company and will obviously trickle down to all of their studios since caste system... expect things to become worse.
now we wait for starfield's terran armada DLC to see if emil is going to be a retard again and be ragebaited to reply with snarky woman tier humor, again :tomgirl:

it's just "immersion" talks that some people toss about, i for once like that most TES games don't have many forced animations as it lets me engage shit on my own leisure rather than wait for a forced animation to finish like a tard, some of the games even let you mod in the animations too if that fancies your taste .
my hatred for such faggotry is because i've played system shock demake after beating the OG, the retarded pickup animations are so fucking gay and i hope every faggot that wants this kind of shit in games to have explosive diarrhea at least once in their lives.

yesn't, TES6 is their last shot but bethesda is too infected that only head amputation will work but something tells me they will wait with TES6 as they are the current snoygger hate target, until they release starfield for PS5 that is then "people" will claim is the best space game evur and all is forgiven, else snoyggers will continue to snoygger and that will make execs/jeetsoft to be more careful handing out money for jeetthesda which will affect emil's ability to continue raping the fallout lore because jeets are fucking useless, something tells me they might look for the SEAMonkeys for a while because of oblivion remastered "success".

As much as I love the Thieves’ Guild questline in Oblivion, I thought the side quests were way too much of a shift towards Skyrim’s Disney theme park-style ride where every quest is an excuse for a linear almost-on-rails dungeon expedition.

I also don’t like the fact that every guild questline has a very obvious two-act structure where the main plot kicks in halfway through, it just feels really forced and repetitive. I preferred Morrowind where you got the feel for how each organization operated through their questline, you weren’t always forced to go into some cave more than half the time and when you were it didn’t just feel like dopamine-addled dungeon delving.

That Dagoth mod/parody video I posted a few pages back apparently is a real actual thing and not just a joke. It's supposed to be reddit Dagoth Ur, but it seems far more like brainrot Dagoth with the zoomer dialogue. I will admit there is some gold in there.
holy shit

regarding that, there's the classic skyrim brainrot so it seems to be on that theming.
part 2 was age-gated though.

(not even starting with the fact that the Kirkbrideian metaplot is a literal metaphysical RaHoWa between men and mer),
Whats really funny is that in the metaplot RaHoWa, humanity is losing the Empire is in decline (or dead) and its probably Tiber Septim's fault.

It's not just an animation it can be a literal loading screen. At least in the first game. Not to mention the 5 separate loading screens you get for every 10 enemies you kill at Pribyslavitz.

Whoa this is an epic figh- loading.png [loading...] :story: Absolute cin- loading.png [loading...] :story:

Last time I checked F3 didn't have a single loading screen during the liberty battle on the way to the Jefferson Memorial. I know why it's like that but it's still funny seeing people coping.

SsethTzeentach and his consequences have been disastrous for the Morrowind fandom.

Is Skyrim: Special/Anniversary Edition any harder to run than the original game from a CPU standpoint, whatsoever? It seems the answer is NO and it's only using two cores/threads on PC, so even a lowly dual-core like the i3-1115G4 would be overkill for Skyblivion.

For Special Ed Edition, Steam lists the Intel i5-750/AMD Phenom II X4-945 for minimum, Intel i5-2400/AMD FX-8320 for maximum. OG Skyrim page is non-specific. Sandy Bridge's i5-2400 is slower than the average (actively cooled) Tiger Lake i3-1115G4.

Less of a question and more thinking out loud. The game designed for Xbox 360 still runs on potatoes.

People VASTLY overstate how punishing and particular Morrowind is with what you can and cannot do. They also pretend like the game is some masterclass in story and character when the majority of dialogue is copy and pasted Wikipedia links.

The sad reality is that the majority of people who suck off Morrowind have not actually played it extensively... but HAVE listened to hours upon hours of Youtube essayists sucking it off and building up a false image of what the game is. This is even worse with how heavily modded the game is, now. People that do play the game probably spend the majority of their time playing mod content that vastly outclassed vanilla shit.

Morrowind is pretty good especially considering when it came out. But always take discourse about it with a grain of salt.

Oblivion thieves Guild peaks with the introductory quest where you have to compete against other thieves to steal some shit.

For some reason Bethesda doesnt seem to understand that doing heists should be the point of that Guild. There is always one or two cool break ins then dungeons the rest of the way down.

I finally capitulated and downloaded a mod for Morrowind. Just one. One that allows me to actually make powerful enchantments. You can't tell me some literally who no name nor mentioned wizard can create a set of boots that give insane speed at the cost of sight while I can't even use all a single soulgem's power to give myself a miniscule stat boost with 100 enchanting and intellegence
fuck off with that shit

ah
the original favorite game never played

oh hell no
you can't tell me the grand heist wasn't amazing

Until you start modding then you'll need 32 gigs of RAM with a 48gig pagefile, an X3D Ryzen CPU, and 16+gigs of VRAM in order to get more than 30FPS in Falkreath.

I can all but guarantee they will rape Redguard lore. The best possible outcome is they go full African. Loses a lot of the cool factor, but it's not the worst. The worst outcome is the African Americanization of them. I can already hear the AC Shadows hip hop battle music.

To be honest I think they really fucked themselves choosing Hammerfell. Bethesda is not good enough to thread that needle.
