I kind of hope Steam has some sort of sale on Anniversary Upgrade and screws people dumb enough to buy this day one.

The weird amount of youtube videos I'm being recommended where console players review "Anniversary Edition" content, but it just ends up being nothing but the old CC content like Tundra Homestead seems really telling to me how little anyone paid attention to the Creation Club. It almost seems like more PC players paid attention to it than console players which is crazy.

Blarg. Does anyone have a decent enough modlist for SSE that they wouldn't mind sharing or have a list online without too much bloat? Every time I think about pulling the trigger I get depressed.

USSEP
No Spinning Death Animation
Hunters Not Bandits
Leanwolfs Better Shaped Weapons
USSEP Necromage Fix
USSEP Aspect of Terror Fix
Footprints
Hearthfire Multiple Adoptions and Custom Home Support SE
1st Person Candlelight Fix
Paper World Map SSE
Heights of Skyrim

Sometimes I use Winter is Coming and Improved Closed Face Helmets, but I'm not right now. Also SkyUI if you want to use SKSE, but I'm not on my current playthrough.

If you're wanting a bunch of shit that completely changes the combat and stuff no idea, I've stopped fucking with overhauls and shit since it always fucks something up about 20-30 hours in for me.

Thanks for the advice - it's a good starting point.

Why the fuck won't bethesda release Oblivion with achievements and HD Upgrade bullshit on modern platforms? We really just got Skyrim again and Oblivion was also on the PS3.

Give me an enhanced edition or something, I own all possible copies of oblivion and they're far less than Skyrim.

Hell I have two copies of Morrowind for Consoles, Original and GOTY edition.

Fixing Oblivions shitty leveling is too much work for Bethesda, let alone enhancing the entire game.

Am I the only one who never had a problem with that? Sure, it was metagamey but it eased gameplay until the late levels where everything is a damage sponge if you're not a god tier mage with custom spells.

It was fucked up, but I just lowered the difficulty slider like anyone who had a brain so it wasn't really a problem just dumb.

Microsoft has made a direction change and both Starfield and Elder Scrolls 6 are now Xbox/Microsoft exclusives.

There may not be a steam release and you'll have to purchase it from the microsoft platform with the PC release. People are assuming that it may not as open as Skyrim was to modding.

I'm not worried yet. The fact they gave the SKSE crew early access to Skyrim AE says something I think. Microsoft has been far more open to modding on their system in regards to Bethesda games than Sony has been, I don't see that changing with them having exclusivity.

If Starfield ends up being not open at all, I'll eat my words, but everything so far seems to show Microsoft isn't going to give much of a shit about modding to close it up.

I was more or less thinking that they would double down on Creation Club-esque BS, because their current stroefront doesn't seem friendly to modders last I checked.

The mods tab in both Skyrim Special Edition and Fallout 4 is the "free" part of modding your games without paying in the creation club.
If they don't gonna keep it in both Starfield & ES VI, probably your thoughts can be right.

Lol, Sony doesn't even allow mods for it, so why would you want to get it on Playstation.

About a week ago MS announced an Insider update to Game Pass, one of the things being significantly improving modding capability. Since you can already mod games, hopefully includes allowing stuff like SKSE.
