The Elder Scrolls

I think its super cringe when people go "ITS WOKE IT SUCKS REE" and be these purists when elden ring had the same thing. I dont care if people pirate or buy it. The game did not look like they added piles of woke shit and they didnt. And then I just made a simple fucking mod to fix it or whatever for the purists and to calmly own the commies and trannies who I hate greatly. I just dont see the need to sperg about it. Its like, dont let the perfect be the enemy of the good. If anything it signals bethesda is sensing the greater pushback and is moving in the right direction back to normality.
I won't buy Elden Ring either.
Problem, consoomer?

Go Woke, Go Profitable
Despite what terminally online people say. Going woke is neither a death sentence or a recipe for success. Baldur's Gate 3 was considered great. Concord was a big flop.
Or just play it on the Xbox Game Pass. It's there day one. That's what I'd be doing if I gave a fuck about Oblivion.
Gamepass sucks ass. (SaaS is an evil business model and it's Jew-y.) Gamepass is for sub-humans that want to pretend to play a game for a day and then quickly move to something else. If I buy a game I'll actually put time into it. Gamepass is for brain rotted zoomers that have 30 second tiktok attention spans and never finish games.

In fairness you'd probably still be pretty fucking strong as a dex person, walking around crouched all day would give you some killer glutes and thighs.

It has less to do with whether or not the change is actually effective and more to do with troons getting to exude societal pressure on developers and, by extension, everyone else.

Have you not been paying attention the past couple of years? DnD has had the term scrubbed from its identity as well, the idea of fantasy races being distinct is no longer allowed in modern society. We are all one race, bigot, even if you have pointy ears or scales.

On that same topic, why THE FUCK do female Khajiits have beards now? They're based off of lions, okay, but lionesses do not have beards. This has got to be due to some tranny genderqueer at Virtuos.
Seems to be possible, but it's an aberration due to too much testosterone, like the lunchladies with mustaches and shit.

I prefer the remade statue. I think they took inspiration from ESO here, where they made most Imperial statues have heroic/warrior poses. It fits the Imperial artstyle and the culture. I mean it's Alessia, if any character warrants a 'stronk woman' pose, especially in a statue made by people who revere her, it's her.
Personally I liked the original Alessia as it gave the imperial cult more of a sense of complexity.
Elder scrolls has always had a definite level of “gender” role blurring. Even back in Arena, female warrior characters were a relatively common thing as opposed to a tokenism representation thing.

It also pretty much answered the strongest woman can beat some men, but even an average guy will beat nearly all women problem with magic being an everyday thing and balancing things out when women fighters were concerned.
Having the different sexes alter the stats was a nice touch.

Admittedly Ultima Underworld (the granddaddy of all real time first person action adventure single character focused crpgs) had a choice of male or female characters but probably cause they couldn’t be bothered to code it there was no difference in ability between a male or female character.
I suppose if pressed they could have just claimed that the Avatar (player character) was a living legend and embodied a god, so there.

One thing that these troon and gender equality morons utterly fail to grasp is that a point and a lot of the fun of an RPG is to play a character who is nothing like who you are in reality.

So if you are an ugly charmless but strong man who lives by his brawn and solves problems with fists, it could be great fun to play a beautiful blonde elven princess who flirts and charms her way through life and quests.

Of course, as we now all know, ugly men want to insist on this in real life.

Tranny body type status quo is annoying and all, but more importantly the game runs like complete shit. It's really tiresome when every new AAA is UE5 forced nanite/lumen requiring you to use upscaling/framegen for decent framerates. Play it through Gamepass/fitgirl and it's a decent enough experience, but paying full price for this is a joke.

The statue of Empress Alessia, the Founder of the Empire and Saint of Humanity, changed to hide the cleavage and give her a strong female lead stance. Their woke obsession with censoring femininity is bizarre.

Honestly, the original just looks kinda derpy and not very statue-like. I would bet that they changed it for purely aesthetic reasons.

This might be a hot take, but I bought it on the PS5 and even though a lot of the particle effects are fucked up, I’m having fun and don’t really mind the jank all that much. Another spicy one is that I don’t care about the body type vs gender debate because those loser troons can cry and seethe all they want, but they can’t hide the fact that they’re disgusting men. I’d rather play the game than fight about those ghouls tbh.

The biggest bug for me so far is that Jauffre got stuck on a rock when we were going to Cloud Ruler Temple, but it was kinda funny at least.

I'm 10 hours in on PC and the only real bug I've encountered so far was during the first quest for the Fighters Guild. I came across four mountain lions and they were all completely frozen until I attacked them.

The remaster's been good to me. I'm sure you can mod OG Oblivion to get a similar experience but my desire for gaming and patience with modding is nowhere near where it was in the mid 2010s so I'm willing to pay $60 for a good baseline experience. It won't replace OG Oblivion to me, Type 1 and Type 2 firmly lets you know this is a 2020s game, but that isn't a deal breaker and unlike with Blizzard and Warcraft 3, the OG is still accessible.

What stood out to me is how standalone this is. With the Creation Club and Bethesda Accounts being a thing I thought they'd shove those in but they didn't. No "Message of the Day" bullshit trying to sell you a Creation. Just you, Re-Oblivion, and UESP.

I wonder how Bethesda's going to react to a re-release being better received than Starfield? A lot can be dismissed as nostalgia but this being a TES drought will bring in a lot of first time players. Hopefully they finally realize there is still a place for games like this and the answer was never to smooth the edges. Oblivion wasn't the true successor to Morrowind but TES 6 could be the true successor to Oblivion.

Base game bug. Sometimes enemies will lose aggression until you interact with them, other times actors will freeze if there's too many actors loaded in at the same time
