The Elder Scrolls

Cope.
You're afraid of a few words.
The mod was banned because the author, and by extension you, are a bunch of snowflake crybabies that cannot handle the fact that not all men and not all women are of the same body type.
Besides, Monster Hunter Wilds, declared anti woke by many, also features body types. However, it also allows you to use body type A armor on body type B and vice versa, allowing you to have a full femboy hunter if you want to.
The only reason I haven't bought it yet tbh is that I wait for the technical errors on PC to be fixed and the price to go down, but after that, it'd be peak. And 10 million others thought so as well.
Go Woke, Go Profitable.
You will never be a woman
You will never be a type 1

Yep. I generally agree with the cause of the antiwoke but so many of the loud ones on twitter are so fucking insufferable its hard to actually side with them.
Part of that is because certain people make money off of the public's outrage and so foment it to generate profit. The worst part is that it works; falling for bullshit artists who tell you the things you already believe for money and clout is the Achilles' Heel of the anti-woke crowd, and you can see it in just about every gaming thread on this website. It may seem like tranny jannies exaggerate it, but they really don't. Troons only latch onto the "antiwoke grifter" meme because it's the biggest chink in the armor.

playing a high fidelity open world game on a handheld.
I guess, but oblivion is RIIIIGHT about where graphical improvements started to FUCKING PLUMMET.

Like daggerfall to morrowind was MIND BLOWING, and morrowind to oblivion was BREATHTAKING, but oblivion to skyrim was..... Ok? Like you can see improvements, but unless you are a graphics snob, I'd really consider if the 30$ is worth spending. If you ARE a graphics snob, ask if taking time to mod in some shaders and textures is worth 30$ to not do yourself lol.

its ultimately your decision, but I wouldn't waste the money.

"It's hard to side with normal people instead of mentally ill trannies."

This tranny simping faggot called there only being men&women a "2 gender theory". No that's called being a normal person, you goonertroon dumbfuck.

The moving of gender stats to background choices isn't something I mind as it allows more freedom with customization
But body type 1/2 I will never understand
If your a trans person wouldn't you just pick the gender you identify with?

I'm kinda just fascinated with the particular look they got with the Unreal Engine, but you have convinced me to take some more time to think about it.

Fuck off with this shit. Fallout 4 is 30 GB, Skyrim is 12GB and the original Oblivion is 4.6 GB. There is no excuse for this amount of bloat. Compress your shit, Todd. I refuse to get games that make it their mission to take up as much space as possible for no reason.
But why would you ever need to install anything other than The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim Anniversary Edition The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion Remastered?

There's also the fact there is basically fuckall for POIs worth exploring for. If a system has a quest in it, it will be broadcast to your ship, if it doesnt its guaranteed none of the planets will be interesting. As soon as you step outside the guided path you won't find anything interesting.

This is the most infuriating part of it all. Even ignoring the ideology, this push for gender neutrality is just a push for lazy devs to not have to give a fuck about character gender. Both in modelling and writing.

I've only played a single game where you play as a woman, and actually experience misogyny. Expeditions Rome, if you play as a woman, everyone treats you differently, the institutions of power disrespect you openly based on your gender, men you fight belittle you for "pretending to be a general" and it actually felt satisfying to fuck these guys over when you gained power.

Misogyny was surprisingly refreshing after years of gender basically being a model swap often with gender neutral pronouns for all the writing so they never need to record a second line.

(Expeditions Vikings does misogyny too but I didnt get very far)
I've tried playing as a girl character in RPGs several times over the years. I stuck with it for an entire playthrough maybe once (Fallout 3 back in high school).

Every other time, I lost interest after maybe an hour. I lack the roleplaying skills and autogynephilia to consistently commit hours of gameplay to my self-inserts being R63'd.

Bethesda has always gotten away with it because nobody else does these grand-scope, open-ended RPGs like they do, not Bioware, not CD Projekt Red, nobody.
this is one of the biggest points regarding TES/fallout that most people seem to forget. they're literally the only ones doing player-character driven rpgs so everyone just deals with the shit that comes with them because there's nothing else to substitute.

Can we update Morrowind or Daggerfall. You know, the games that need updating more than Oblivion? Or maybe Todd can make the Imperials more Roman for the remaster, since they're very centurion-like in the other games.

It is incredibly frustrating that people who are against body type a/b act like the other side are complete morons. They know exactly what message they want to send by having two gender options. Whether or not that's right or not doesn't matter, you should be honest about it. Nexus Mods allowing that change on their website would be a direct ACKnowledgement of the two genders theory, and as leftists, they reject it. But people are acting like "Why does text matter" etc, it just seems so disingenuous to ignore what that mod is trying to say.
Denying biological sex itself is disingenuous, so it shouldn't be a surprise that these people attacking biological sex are disingenuous.

I'm so tapped out of gaming news that I didn't even know this was a thing coming out. Time for my like... 10th replay of Oblivion with 20 years worth of dope mods like The Lost Spires and Mannimarco Resurrection and all that fun expanded stuff people worked so hard on back in the day. It'll take another 20 years for this remaster to catch up to the original in that regard, if people even bother to make that level of mod anymore. I could give a fuck about "body types"and upscaled graphics, I'm going back to the motherfuckin playground baby.

I still can't get over how janky the game looks with these graphics slapped on top of 20 year old animations. There's some improvements to the animations here and there, but it's on a level you'd expect from a mid-tier modder.

Which is another kicker. If this came out and it was just some autist/team of autists really ambitious Overhaul Mod? Super cool and impressive. But as an official release? Lol. Lmao even.

You have gendered stats AND background choices that make minor adjustments on top of whatever your race and gender is. Nothing was moved iirc.

They still could have kept the fucking tits though.
Trannies don't have tits and longhouse women don't like men liking women with tits (cause it makes them have to compete with pretty girls). The goal is to exert some form of cultural control over male sexuality (which will always fail because tinder now exists and you can push 3 buttons and get a whore delivered to your house).
The leveling system from from oblivion was reworked:
1. In base oblivion only major skills contribute to your player level. In the remaster, all skills increase player level. You're potentially leveling up three times as fast as base oblivion.
2. In base oblivion the skills leveled affect how many attribute points you get, anywhere from 3 points to 15. In the remaster you get 12 points to distribute freely no matter what.
3. In base oblivion attribute bonuses are dependent on the level at which they occur; leveling endurance early is super important. In the remaster they are applied retroactively.

This was done because base oblivion suffers from something called "the leveling problem"
A player level is triggered once you raise any of your major skills a total of ten times. But it's not possible to get the maximum number of attribute points by only raising major skills. If a player wants to take full advantage of the system, they must put 2/3 of the skills they actually use outside of their major skills in their minor skill category, and level major skills 10 times per level and minor skills 20 times per level. If you micromanage each level-up and futz around with this system you will get 15 attribute points per level. If you only use major skills you will gain about 6 attribute points. If you only ever use skills from the major skill category, ie. the skills from your class, your character will become worse overtime relative to the enemies you fight. As a result most people either stay at level one the entire game, install a mod to fix it, or wonder why the game is getting so hard out of nowhere and drop the difficulty to easiest.

Overall I think the remaster has a good middle ground, but It's obvious why they axed attributes for Skyrim. It is anything but intuitive.
The real question is, with the new system if you play long enough and level everything to max can you unlock everything (ala New Vegas / Fallout 4 / Starfield) or is it like Fallout 3 where you have to create a spreadsheet and adhere to it religiously the entire way up?

Ah, that's the motte, but the motte isn't good enough. They want the bailey -- the idea of a male body to not be associated with "male." It's an indoctrination tactic, they want you to ignore everything common sense teaches you in lieu of what their ideology teaches.

I wouldn't want these people anywhere near Morrowind or Daggerfall. And they'd never allow Roman themes, Romans are Proto-Nazis, remember?

Let them make an Arena remaster, that might be interesting.
