Redoran, Hlaalu, and Telvanni already have lots of existing assets to work off of, and with Indoril they’re just now making unique assets for their buildings that aren’t just derivatives of the Mournhold set. All that existing stuff in Roa Dyr, etc. was technically a placeholder and is gonna get replaced with the new Indoril chapel set.
Fwiw I find the aesthetic they have quite stunning, and the concept art they have really goes for the refined beauty look. Akamora is genuinely a very beautiful town.

Stuff like this and what the modders are able to do with OpenMW is infinitely more interesting to me than Skyrim modder drama or whatever Bethesda themselves are working on. At this point, modders will eat Todd's lunch and beat them to the punch before they can get enough gooks and jeets together to remaster Morrowind. You know, a game that could actually benefit from a remaster, unlike Oblivion.
He's got a second, unlisted video where he goes into more detail btw. Very interesting stuff, I could eat this up all day long.

There is no benefit to "remaster" Morrowind. The game is perfect as it is, giving it Unreal Engine graphics would just make it so much worse.

Graphics are just one issue, the archaic mechanics are genuinely one of the many things you could improve on, same with other QoL features many later games introduced. Morrowind and Arena/Daggerfall are infinitely more worthy of receiving a remaster than Oblivion.

I'll agree to disagree on that, I think they are perfect as they are and shouldn't be changed, Daggerfall Unity is essentially a remastered Daggerfall and that's all it needs.

One thing that bugs me is that while there are mods that put Morrowind into Oblivion, or Oblivion into Skyrim and vice versa, why hasn't anyone ever tried to make Morrowind, Oblivion, or Skyrim to be more like Daggerfall? I think Daggerfall looks way better than all three combined and plays better too, it would be interesting to try and translate those games into a Daggerfall Unity style.

This guy does the wackiest shit, in a neat way. Whenever he uploads I know it'll be interesting but I never know what exactly he'll post. I think comment sums him up the best: Is Zullie a tranny?

I have the sneaking suspicious he got filtered by Morrowind and decided to just port it to Elden Ring since he can't seem to play MW without breaking the game due to sucking ass.
Morrowind, Oblivion, or Skyrim to be more like Daggerfall?
I'm pretty sure the vast majority of people who played Oblivion-let alone Skyrim and the later titles-would touch Daggerfall no matter if how good of a job DFU does. And there's only so many Morrowind fans that are also fans of Daggerfall, so its no wonder no one game really did anything to make the game similar to Daggerfall. At most there was a mod for Skyrim that loosely recreated Daggerfall's main quest and only the needed parts of High Rock. Converting any of the games into a simulation game on the level of DF is both an incredibly tall order and a very niche want.
Has anyone here played Enderal for Skyrim? If so would you recommend?
Definitely a step up from Nehrim and Skyrim itself, it's quite the enjoyable experience despite the gripes I had even if I never fully finished it (almost). Combat is changed up a bit so it's refreshing, AI seems to be smarter so they're not completely braindead, it's more linear for most of the game despite the open world which I appreciate because of how much open world trash we've been getting, it offers some pretty good side quests early on too such as the cult in that underground city (fuck that faggot edgelord Tharael, The Father for life even if I didn't get to transcend with him, he's still a homie). It feels more like an actual RPG with some stones and bones and doesn't waste most of your time with a lot of nonsense.

Since Morrowind fans hate everything that came after it, are there any die-hard Daggerfall fans who think Morrowind ruined the Elder Scrolls? Or Arena fans who think the same of Daggerfall? I am asking out of curiosity.

I would say it’s more possible that there are Ultima Underworld fans who hate the Elder Scrolls for stealing Ultima’s thunder.

There are, but it's a pretty small group and I'm willing to bet money they all came after the fact (as I'm sure is the same case with a majority of hardcore Morrowind fanboys, same for New Vegas)

I suspect that if he were still alive then, the exposure to Skyrim may have just killed the guy.
He might be dead or he was one of the few people that didn't use the same username everywhere back in the day because there's nothing I can find with his username except for reddit and forum posts talking about this usenet post. There's also a horsegirl named Ida Storm so that's salted the search results. It's not her because she was probably born after Morrowind was released.

I thought I'd seen that argument somewhere but I may have been thinking of this bit: https://youtu.be/VZ9u8S26tGk?t=347

There is definitely a contagion of fans that blame Morrowind for casualizing the series and hate everything that came after Daggerfall, I met them myself. Thing is that they're much rarer these days, kind of like people who think Fallout 2 started the downfall of the franchise and only swear by the first game, it's a breed of CRPG games of it's time, a relic of the past. I don't think anyone, even die hard fans of Arena, will claim that game was better than Daggerfall, Arena was very rough and barely resembles a modern TES title. It was a tech demo that walked so that Daggerfall could run.
