Got to love that point four is by far the longest and the most asinine. Probably because it was written by an autistic pervert. Most of the others are gimmees, even the swastika bit because Germanic autism about the War and not wanting to deal with compliance with said autism.

I recently got back into Skyrim and modding it. Haven't played around with it since before COVID and the fact that there is so much active development is nice. Wish Nexus just had a separate place for all the porn mods, but at least it has a per creator ignore feature. For all the gripes I have for the faggotry, it just works. I don't even need an account to browse and the requirement section of each mod is new to my memory. Helps a lot with the dependency hell with some mods. You need SKSE and this skeleton and the unofficial patch and this set of SKSE scripts and these five armor mods because the author can't let someone just repost the fucking meshes as part of a different work.

Anyone got mod recommendations for Skyrim Special Edition?

I did have what I thought was a good idea for a competitor site, which is sharing the site ad revenue with mod authors from ads viewed on their mod pages.

I’m not much of a fan of people paywalling their mods or restricting access behind Discord servers or whatever else they use so maybe this would make that happen less often.

But I could already foresee the extremely petty fights that would erupt especially over sub-mods.
those kinds of things are done for control purposes, for gatekeeping, so offering a service to do it for a fee is literally the last thing those people are going to take you up on

i was introduced to the discord tranny janny ecosystem people are familiar with like 20 years ago with custom Garry's Mod server addons, you had people who mashed together incompatible/abandoned addons and then dangled them over people's heads and only shared them with "donators"

Saw this trailer for Lantern of the Laughless Saint and thought someone in this thread would get a kick out of it
Got this recommened to me. Was not impressed. if the selling point for your game is "its based off/reminds you of thing you like!" than I'm just going to go to the source and not someone's dilution of everything they liked about Morrowind. A game based off something can never be as good as the source material, because there will always be a part of the original experience you lose in favor of something you like more.

It can work if the game it’s based off of has glaring flaws that can obviously be improved upon, I think. But I don’t think that’s really the case with Morrowind specifically.

Someone actually recommended this to me IRL. Main issues after watching the trailer is that, as people have said, it's selling point is being like a game I can already play. Another issue is Morrowind works because it largely takes itself seriously even with some humourous elements while the trailer for this game just seems to present itself as being goofy, whacky and self-aware.

So what is the point in using it in place of Nexus then? If you are gonna be bound by tranny written CoC and rules why would you then also choose the site with the much smaller reach and barely any users? Might as well stay on the Nexus.
They don't ass-fuck your user experience unless you pay like its 2001?

Dead on arrival.
lmfao, imagine JUMPING on a sinking ship, these are some dumb motherfuckers
Don't DEG and Ayeka already exist as alternatives?
Can confirm, I host my Fallout London anti-woke mod on DEG in the wake of Modding Haven shutting down. Thing is that I don't see either of these sites ever growing since by definition, only the most fringe mods made by the fringes of the fanbase will ever use them, therefore, everyone else will sadly use Nexus and maybe another cucked site like ModDB or Game Banana. Imagine wanting to be the fourth wheel to the pozzed neghole party, what an aspiration for life lmfao.

Anyone crying about "removing diversity"(niggers) is just sending red flags to not ever use your site. Modding darwinism at it's finest.

I assume you're talking them throttling your downloads, as of recently, unless you pay for a membership. I can't imagine downloading enough big mods for that to ever be an issue, anyone who is dedicated enough to mod/play these games already has them by this point, so this is just a tax for new players who only download big compilation playlists spoonfed to them anyways. Still not enough of a niche to compete with Nexus, you need something more to ever have an ecosystem with the retarded amount of files it has, sadly.

They've throttled downloads for their entire existence, and only in the past few years have they graciously upped the limit to 3 megabytes a second instead of one like it had been for the longest time, they don't even let you expand your per-page view unless you pay them, and then on top of all that they have the audacity to throw ads at you to buy premium like its a F2P MMO.

So fuck Nexus, and I hope anyone proves sufficient competition, even a different band of autistic tranny faggots.

Never had a problem, then again I don't spend an entire day downloading a hundred mods. Seems like a non-issue to scam retards, and I do support scamming retards. Still, fuck Nexus, I have zero sympathy for their admins, staff or jannies.

People need to be willing to use it and like you said they aren't. Everyones hokey dokey until its their turn to get banned from Nexus mods.

Greetings from Kogoruhn, I love TES lore so much it's unreal.

My entire life has been a slow process of putting off learning about various world religions because it seems daunting only to eventually realize I already learned about it from Michael Kirkbride.

Once again considering recreating the entirety of Morrowind as a tabletop module just so I can trick my friends into playing it.

A Youtuber made a video essay going over how Skyrim took over Bethesda.

TLDW: skyrim was super duper popular and thr hype was crazy, pretty much impossible to top it because of that. Also here's a bunch of deadhorse examples of how it isn't as deep of an rpg as the other games. Also "old bugs in new games and still using the same engine".

Once again elder scrolls video essays prove to be fucking worthless. We've been hearing the same shit since Oblivion Morrowind Daggerfall

There is an unofficial ES rpg made by /tg/ back in the day called UESRPG, based on Dark Heresy ruleset, because that was what was all in the rage back then.

Last time I was roadblocked by not being able to find/make hi-res scale maps. If I could get that figured out everything else would just be clerical work.

I tried using """AI powered""" software for compiling maps from top-down drone footage and screen recording in the creation kit but it's unsurprisingly dogshit.
The game has a command to generate a map of the overworld built into the engine but it's too low-res to be useful and I can't find a way to modify it.
It's so close to being viable but I'm retarded.

Constants and variables. There's always a lighthouse, there's always a scroll duplication glitch, a script extender, an unofficial patch.
