This was Luna a year ago. I think a combination of hair loss, muscle loss, and worsening of intracranial pressure is making that part I pointed out more prominent.



Her eye on that side appears to be bulging more now too.

It looks like it is another one growing right next to the one there or it just expanding greatly. Her forehead on that seems to have also expanded out some or it could be lighting. It just doesn’t look as flat as usual. Not good.

I doubt the parts of her brain responsible for initiating puberty still exist. It's not impossible, but given how much her head has grown and how she doesn't even seem to be seizing anymore, I don't think she's got enough brain to coordinate that.

Also, the Ashley treatment is a bit more than that. Her parents wanted her growth plates closed so she'd stop growing and they'd be able to continue caring for her at home. The mastectomy and hysterectomy were because mom's side is prone to issues with both and they were worried about sexual assault from caretakers once they're gone, removed her appendix too, since she couldn't tell them if she was in pain. It's a lot, really interesting rabbit hole for anyone interested in medical ethics because Ashley isn't 100% a potato, maybe a bit more than Paisley was? She reacts to her family, has likes and dislikes, and they clearly really love her, they did it all so she could be as much a part of the family as possible. It's fucked, but it's just easier to strap a paralyzed barely responsible 6 year old into the car than a 5'+ tall woman who probably would've ended up with her mother's massive breasts. I seriously doubt Luna will ever experience puberty. My very basic understanding is that the brain stem triggers the pituitary gland to kick start puberty. (If I remember correctly.) Her pituitary gland is probably hopelessly destroyed. She doesn't even have the body of a toddler. Oakly at 10 months is starting to over take her growth wise.

My prediction is that Robyn will only homeschool Atlas a few months before she realizes A. It’s a lot of work B. It takes way from her MLMs C. Oakly and Luna require constant care. This is a good thing for Atlas anyway it goes down.

In hydrocephalus they can just tap into the normal brain anatomy, she doesn't have that, she has a series of expanding cysts. Idk if the shunt is the normal ventricular kind or if it's somehow placed in one cyst, but it can't drain all of them. It's why she had to doctor shop to get one to place it in the first place.

I’m pretty sure the bulge is on the side of her head without the shunt, so it’s working. Just can’t keep up with the amount of cyst juice shes producing. It looks like she filled out the huge crater she had when she first got the shunt so it has to go somewhere (why can’t it just kill her already)

They definitely don't have these, but a lot of states have a religious vaccine exemption for public schools, which hippies abuse relentlessly. California had so many fucking anti vaccine hippies spreading measles and whopping cough via their brats that the state finally had to crack down entirely on this - no kid can attened public, private, or parochial school without vaccination at this point (the Jehovahs Witnesses have their own schools where they allow diseased children, but fuck them). But I don't think Nevada has a similar law.

I think you’re giving her too much credit. She’s not a crazy but principled off grid homesteader. She doesn’t want to suffer any actual deprivation, just earn asspats online. If she got more engagement giving her kids conventional medicine and taking them to school, she’d convert right quick.

Stating the obvious, but Atlas is currently a terrible candidate for homeschool. He needs lots of exposure to other kids for his speech and for his overall social development. I'm always freaked out by how Robyn and the kids stay shut up in that house of sickness and pain. It's not healthy for any of them.

I do love (so much) to see Atlas interacting with Tree. He's even trying to teach him that game he likes with all the cushions piled on the couch, and it looked like he was playing a form of peekaboo. I hope Robyn isn't unkind to Atlas when he starts paying more attention to Tree than he does to Luna, but the poor child is obviously excited to have a sibling who responds to him. I also loved seeing him at the movie theater. He looked like he was completely absorbed in the movie, and I bet buttery movie theater popcorn was the best thing he's ever eaten.

Finally: Robyn is straight-up lying about the birthday thing. Atlas always gets shitty birthdays. I don't remember if it was last year or the year before, but he got a really sad-looking cake made with "healthy" substitutions (Luna got a fancy cake). She's never celebrated Atlas at all, but it's interesting to see that he's started to appear in her content a lot more. Luna must be in really bad shape if she's featuring the boys this much.
