My SO was born blue and unresponsive, with the cord around his neck. The OB famously told his mother, who was 17 and terrified, that he "might be retarded" but they wouldn't be able to tell until he was older. I'm not sure when exactly we'll know with certainty, but I'm not giving up hope. ❤️
You already know deep down he is.

These two geniuses promote all sorts of retarded practices, such as co-sleeping. Which, coincidentally, goes along with the re-emergence of SIDS in the US. I’m seeing more articles each week about the dangers of co-sleeping. Imagine how frustrating it must be to have worked in this field for decades and these squat in a kiddie pool morons come along with their co-sleeping lifestyle aesthetic. It used to be poor people that couldn’t afford a crib, now these jackasses that can afford one but choose not to use them for SM mamahood club points FFS.
Don’t forget they’re both so retarded that they let Luna starve till she was a holocaust victim and didn’t notice any signs something was wrong with Luna until Robyn’s followers basically shamed Robyn/Glenn into taking Luna to the ER.

Holy shit some people should not reproduce

I think Glenn's dismissal of a stalled birth speaks to his inherent stupidity and lack of a backbone. They seem like such an odd and mismatched couple, yet she always makes it sound like they're soulmates. I do wonder if she harbors resentment toward him. I know I would. I just don't know how she can keep up this façade of a perfect life...

I absolutely would too, especially if I had begged to go to the hospital and been talked out of it. She’s definitely responsible, but blaming everyone else would explain how she manages to contort herself into thinking herself blameless.

Don’t they even make bedside cribs so you can basically co-sleep but without the risk of rolling onto baby? Cuz I get the desire to just roll over and whip out a tit when baby’s hungry at 2 am, but not at the risk of smothering the baby.

Yep. Only good up to about 9 months, 9 kilo or when they start sitting up by themselves.

Honestly, all you really need for the first 6 months or so is one of those pack n play things. It's portable and a lot of them have a bassinet attachment for little bitty babies.

Co sleeping has alot of mixed info out there. Theres alot of co sleeping deaths, but many of them are linked to unsafe practices like sleeping with pillows and blankets, having the infant inbetween mom and dad, and one or both of the partners having drank or done drugs at some point in the evening. When co-sleeping is done correctly, it may actually REDUCE sids. That being said. They have never shown that they are performing co-sleeping correctly. (Just the mother and infant, a plain matress on the floor. No blankets or pillows, "protective C sleep position", no pets in bed, and ACTUALLY FOR REALS BE BREAST FEEDING<im looking at you robin> ect) they are quite literally doing everything you shouldnt do if you decide to co-sleep.

Regardless, once the baby is 1, its pretty safe to co sleep if the family chooses to do so, baring that they follow some common sense safty practices. Its very common in alot of cultures.

I should have specified, co-sleeping as a trend among privileged white bitches like the ones who have threads here.

For another example of why the Hartley Hooligans are superior to Globyn’s kids for entertainment value, Gwen Hartley described the joys of co-sleeping with her constantly seizing, farting, projectile vomiting and butt-barfing precious girls, and having to change the sheets several times a night. For over a decade. Two adults and two Hooligans in the same bed. And even though the girls were immobile, one morning they woke up and somehow Clare had wedged herself underneath the bed.
Do better Globyn.

It happens all the time, which is why a hospital is by far the safest place to give birth. The gigantic human cranium is fantastic for brain size, but not great for being squished through the narrow pelvis required for bipedal gait. Evolution really did get the best of us there.

I still have to listen to the “you were blue!” story every birthday from my dad. No forceps used but I was born with a cord around my neck and not breathing. I got the idea it was common enough for babies to come out that way that the doctor shrugged it off after the baby starts crying. Nope, not dead! Congrats.

Dresser drawers were the poor person solution to no crib. I think Norway gives every new parents a cardboard box (with infant supplies inside) for the newborn to sleep in. There’s really no excuse for co-sleeping with an infant, everyone can get a cardboard box or use a drawer.

I remember talking to my pediatrician and he said he had only three deaths of newborns in his 15 year career - and they were all caused by co-sleeping.

The stories taht lady wrote she definitely had some scat fetish going on...

This is a thing in Scotland too - though I've never known anyone who has used the cardboard box, it's there so all newborns have access to the bare minimum of required safety standards.

It comes with some other first days essentials.

One starts to wonder if they were doing some bizarre Morgothian anti-life thing.

Yet another reason I’ve avoided the hooligan thread. Of all the things that needed smothering while co-sleeping, those two were prime examples.

Yeah, I'm hoping the Healy does the trick.

I remember talking to my pediatrician and he said he had only three deaths of newborns in his 15 year career - and they were all caused by co-sleeping.
I bet he remembered the names of each of the dead newborns and their parents, and he likely recalled where he was and what he was doing when he found out they had died, too. No physician enjoys losing a patient, but pediatricians, including pediatric specialists, take it really, really hard. Especially in a situation like this, where there was absolutely no reason that the child should be dead, it's hard to accept. Human hubris knows no bounds, and it really is deadly.

Yet another reason I’ve avoided the hooligan thread. Of all the things that needed smothering while co-sleeping, those two were prime examples.
As though anyone could actually sleep with one of the Hooligans in bed beside them. Claire might have been an okay roommate, Lola's constant rooting and bleating would give me nightmares.

You'd welcome the sleep paralysis demons.
Even they would take one look and be like, "Nah, the little one has it covered."

Is it just me or have Globyn been veeeery quiet since getting back from "vacation"? Normally, we'd be inundated with therapy videos and "spooky season" content even though it's still like a thousand degrees in Las Vegas.

Yeah I think she got some not-good news at thr recent doctor visit. The fact that she posted very little about that visit in comparison to previous visit (like when Luna got her shunt adjusted) is also telling.

Lets hope Luna isn't like litch queen and she really is on her way out this time :optimistic:
