You know the line—freedom of speech doesn’t mean freedom of consequences and all that. No, that's literally what freedom means. If you speak and then someone throws you into gulag or shoots you dead, because you spoke incorrectly, that's not "freedom of speech". If the government doesn't protect you from negative repercussions of speech and tolerates or support terrorist organizations that chill speech, that's also not freedom of speech.
