I think it's time proper help was utilized in protecting the Kiwifarms. I don't code but I assume this community is big enough to create something that should help in the event of mass DDoS and other such attacks. Decentralize the clearnet version of the website, etc. See? What happens when Josh is unavailable during an attack? What if something happens to him? This website needs to be protected better, and big tech cannot be trusted.

Looking forward, what we really need is an I2P address, as well as keeping the .onion address. I2P is faster than Tor, harder to knock down, and offers better and more comprehensive bandwidth controls to the site admin. Also having an additional address would take a percentage of users off the .onion and onto the .i2p which would further loadbalance the site and improve bandwidth for everyone.

Multiple .onion and multiple .i2p addresses running from different locations and calling the same KF backend would make it even faster. Distribution and decentralization.

Users pick the fastest mirror, and naturally as that mirror becomes saturated it slows down a bit, so users pick the next fastest mirror and thus users distribute themselves and carry out the loadbalancing effect on their own.
