This calls for Occam's Razor (and it might be just what actually happened here):The other thing I find odd is that all the normal, legal channels have been completely bypassed in this situation, even though they’re something that has been utilized in the past. Null has received subpoenas from the US government over "threats" made on the forum more than once in the past, and has willingly cooperated every time.
Not this time, though. Somehow Cloudflare had to do a 180 on their logically sound, long-term-business-minded statement after three days because and play vigilante because they didn't think the authorities would get there in time? To a "threat" that was posted on another website, days prior to them taking action?
I get the weird feeling that somebody a few degrees of separation from the initial players in this was either concerned about people looking too hard at KF after all the troon vs, Cloudflare screeching, or looked into things themselves over it and found something that made them go "oh shit".
People really like giving up, for some reasonWhy all the obituaries to the site on the site? I'm reading the same old just with another browser. The farms may well be swept under the rug to those that fret over the first page of google results but we're still here.
It could be a week, it could be years, but the clearnet site will come back online eventually. Its just a matter of time. The farms is under alot of evolutionary pressue. Just imagine how strong it will be if it survies this ordeal.
Where now the Index and the IRC? Where is the Chan that was blowing? Why all the obituaries to the site on the site? I'm reading the same old just with another browser. The farms may well be swept under the rug to those that fret over the first page of google results but we're still here.
Because being forced to hide on Tor is considered "the last bastion of life" and with the .net domain seized by Cloudflare and all the pieces on Keffals and KF, the site being as it is would be considered a good thing. Also, apparently Google search results is still considered a major aspect of how well a site does and is received. Why all the obituaries to the site on the site? I'm reading the same old just with another browser. The farms may well be swept under the rug to those that fret over the first page of google results but we're still here.
The rules against harassment were never for the sake of our reputation or for the wellbeing of any potential victims, they were there because it's fucking cringe when people ring up Chris-Chan and blurt out a pubescent voice-cracking "JULAY JULAY JULAY! I'M BATMAN" before hanging up in panic. In the light of these events, and the fact that the farms will likely only be able to stay online on tor, what's the point of cutesy rules anymore? Your enemies will go after your entire business and your providers, and your providers' providers if you expose their grooming. Why won't you reply in kind?
ِAnd also actually harassing someone IRL is illegal.
Except Sam didn't also go out of his way to talk to everyone who'd listen, get Twitter verified, or have a Twitch audience to address in their crusade. Keffals has a lot more assets and compadres. I think we're really screwed now. After notorious schizo Sam Collingwood Smith personally threatened Null and his entire extended family, the site was shut down. We were in limbo for about a month, and many Kiwis fled to other places. There wasn't even a TOR service at that point, it was well and truly one. But then it came back up, because ultimately Null doesn't let anyone cow him, no matter how beaten-down he might seem.
