This calls for Occam's Razor (and it might be just what actually happened here):
Lucas personally called Matthew Prince and threatened suicide if he wouldn't pull service from KiwiFarms accompanied by a link to a public announcement about him having bent the knee and worshipping stinkditch.

Nothing would shock me in clown world anymore.
Funniest of all, this thesis would actually cover all publicly known "unknowns" (i.e. "Imminent threat to life") in this whole shitshow.

@Null I doubt I'm suggesting something you haven't already considered but would https://ens.domains/ work to mitigate the threat at the registrar level at least? Doesn't solve the ddos issue maybe, but since .ens is supposedly decentralized blah blah blah...just throwing it out there if it hasn't already been.

Also, I'm seeing a lot of normies on sites like HN getting pilled by this event, for whatever that's worth.

It could be a week, it could be years, but the clearnet site will come back online eventually. Its just a matter of time.

Unless the entire internet goes under, which is possible, with AI chatbots and captcha solvers getting better and everything. Social media sites like twitters days are numbered

Because being forced to hide on Tor is considered "the last bastion of life" and with the .net domain seized by Cloudflare and all the pieces on Keffals and KF, the site being as it is would be considered a good thing. Also, apparently Google search results is still considered a major aspect of how well a site does and is received.
 
Everyone celebrating the "death of KiwiFarms" doesn't realize the dangerous precedent they've just set.

This is just proof that bad faith outrage from a fringe minority can silence dissident opinions and memoryhole incriminating info about themselves.

I wonder how they'll feel when far right parties use the exact same tactics to deplatform trans and other sexual minority groups in the coming months/years.
You'd have to be truly exceptional to not realize that Thiel and the surviving Koch brother are salivating looking at this new frontier in astroturfing and silencing opposing viewpoints.

I know you're not religious most likely and I know gossip isn't a Christian virtue.

But I also know that suppression of free speech and communism isn't one either.

So yeah I'm going to pray about this situation.
And FUCK the big tech organizations for attacking our farm. We haven't broken any U.S. laws nor have we engaged in any terrorism.

Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to go read some favorite cow threads because I WANT TO AND I CAN.

The rules against harassment were never for the sake of our reputation or for the wellbeing of any potential victims, they were there because it's fucking cringe when people ring up Chris-Chan and blurt out a pubescent voice-cracking "JULAY JULAY JULAY! I'M BATMAN" before hanging up in panic.

Admittedly, it's hard not to doompost at this point. But we do have to keep in mind that Joshy is such a turbosperg, in a good way, that he's gonna try his darndest to have this site stay up. If KF truly goes down for good, then we will know that literally every single possible alternative is well and truly exhausted, and we have been pretty much banned from all of the vast Internet.

We had a similar situation to this a few years ago, where it truly seemed like the Farms was "over". After notorious schizo Sam Collingwood Smith personally threatened Null and his entire extended family, constituting actual criminal harassment, the site was shut down. We were in limbo for about a month, and many Kiwis fled to other places. There wasn't even a TOR service at that point, it was well and truly gone. But then it came back up, because ultimately Null doesn't let anyone cow him, no matter how beaten-down he might seem.

I don't know, maybe I'm grasping at straws and being delusionally optimistic. But I like to think that, somehow, there's still a way to carve out true free speech on the Internet.

Except Sam didn't also go out of his way to talk to everyone who'd listen, get Twitter verified, or have a Twitch audience to address in their crusade. Keffals has a lot more assets and compadres. I think we're really screwed now.

Well I hope the .ru comes back, but as long as the tor site keeps going ill find a way to log in. I am nevertheless quite disappointed about the world, if this site goes I may give up on the internet and society as a whole, well more than I already have.
I am a couple of years and obligations away from buying a house debt free and away from the city, I am thinking of permaculturing it. I never though I would chase the life of a antisocial hippie but I am getting really tired of the level of degeneracy on the world and how mainstream it is.
