If this site and all it's insane freewheeling free speech extremist attitudes ends up being hosted in fucking China of all places, then god damn does clownworld make for some strange bedfellows.
all societies censor to some degree. in the west, the landmines that you can step on that ruin your career or reputation change on a day to day basis and some of them weren't there yesterday or might not be there tomorrow. there is no list somewhere so people self police to the max.

in the PRC, you know exactly what the landmines are because the government publishes a list. as long as you stay out of that shit you can talk about whatever you want.

I have to say its kinda bewildering to have to download tor just so I can stay updated on what my favorite retards are up too. To think that a relatively benign gossip site would be forced to the US funded anonymous network because of stupendously stupid circumstances is honestly mind boggling. I'm happy that we have TOR to fall back on but fuck man, why can't people just leave the site alone? Let the people laugh at reatrds in peace on the normal internet.

Would it make sense to divide the less volatile threads from the "problematic" ones? Not to get rid of the "problematic" ones but to keep the other threads unaffected. There're so many other discussions happening here and it really sucks that they all have to go down with the ship.
I think any backup should be modular so different subforums or even single threads can be easily imported into a new XenForo (or any generic forum software) instance and spun off as its own domain.

Lolcows are intensely selfish and couldn't give a fuck about anyone else so nobody is going to bother to go after every single one of them, or cooperate against a couple dozen single-cow or single-community threads.

As a boomer tier person when it comes to Internet saviness and tech, I downloaded Tor for Android just to come back here and wish everyone the best, especially @Null.

You are made of stronger stuff than most, and while I can't do anything besides cheer and boo from the sidelines...well, I can thank you for holding up this long.

Godspeed, fellow flightless birds. Godspeed.

some edits cuz slow upload speed resulting in typos/stroke-like word salad.

If anyone ends up being inspired to create a new DDoS mitigation service because of these events, I have only one request.

Name it KillDDoSer.

Maybe the farms just need to be not publicly visible without an account
This is exactly what they want. The fact that you can type in the name of one of these degenerates on your search engine of choice and be presented with a curated thread of all the horrible shit they've done without needing to jump through any hoops is why they hate the farms. It's valuable to normal people and endlessly damaging to troonshine peddlers rage pigs, animal abusers and just about anyone else online who people should be wary around. So unless it were possible to have it both ways, that'd just damage the usefulness of the farms.
Best thing I could think of off the top of my head is allow OP's of most if not all threads to be seen publicly as well as highlighted posts while also being a bit more strict on new account registration and maybe even deactivating accounts which have been dormant for a certain amount of time to avoid randos showing up after several years to write a couple fedposts.
Not saying these are the best ideas but it's the best I got with what you are suggesting.

After all the years of people trying and failing to take this forum down, I've never thought that it would actually happen. We lost decisively, and anyone saying otherwise is coping. Browsing on the Tor network is slow as hell, and our active userbase is only a small traction of what it was before. I'm not holding out much hope for us getting back on the clearnet. If they can get us kicked off both Cloudflare and DDoS Guard, they can get us kicked off anything. Then again, 8chan and the Daily Stormer are still up, so maybe there's a chance.

It's ridiculous that such a small demographic has this much power over the Internet. They used to tell conservatives to make their own website after being banned from major social media platforms, but even that's not fucking enough. Every other alternative social media site / forum is on borrowed time with the way things are going.

I'm generally an optimistic person, but I know eventually people need to throw in the towel. I wouldn't be too surprised either way if the Farms stay up or go down, at least I enjoyed it for what it was. Just gotta try and stay positive!

I always thought it'd be Isabella's glownigger parents who take the farms down... turns out it was just a man in a wig with $100k he got from eunuchs.
Take a guess who just so happens to have a high-ranking position in the company who owns Cloudflare.

No, seriously.

There is no way a histrionic troon and a bunch of catboys took us from fedpost to news article in what, an hour? less?
My finger is firmly pointed at Janke.

Her dad is apparently one of cloudflare's bosses. I doubt he would send hitmen after us, but pressuring cloudflare? I am sure he would.

If an account has been inactives for X amount of time make them go thought mod approval before the message is displayed, like new accounts do.
