The Entire Pacific Northwest is On Fire - Burn Baby Burn

Depends where you want to draw the line, because things are going to get much worse.
As a Historian myself, much, much worse. If things keep getting bad then we are merely leaving the aberration that was the World after WW2 to Now and are going back to "normal" times where you have a plague or two, a bunch of new religious movements, and lots of conflict boiling over that might blow up into something greater; Start getting worried when
>"And then he was betrayed by his men"
>"And then invaluable statues and monuments were lost"
>"And then he was unjustly incriminated and executed"
>"X province is lost forever"

>"Barbarian Kingdoms A, B, C, D, E... Z were founded"
is all happening at once.

How exactly do you think things will get worse?
Well for one the massive locust swarms that we had, COVID, insane climate and massive wildfires have decimated food supplies and to a lesser extent other goods. We're mostly running on buffers right now and once the food supplies go that's when shit gets real.

What you're neglecting to take into account is the transitional period, we might be reverting to something more normal historically speaking but no one in this society was raised to deal with that, they were raised for the world of the boomers and the switch will be devastating for all but the most adaptable.

My money is still on tweakers and people copycatting.

OH and for the people crying about how horrible 2020 is, stop being a bitch.
Life is good and if this is "hard" then off your self because this is some first world crying over nothing.

Besides trying to murder police, the Communists are up to their old tricks.

Something that goes underreported is crimes against the US Food supply. I've been watching media doing backflips to try and paint the Oregon Wildfires as something other than arson. It's gotten to the point where they're denying arson could contribute to the spread of fire.

In the midwest, where wood fuel is not overabundant and land management is something people take seriously, the Communists have just been going around shooting cows.

Not just any cows, pregnant cows and prized bulls. It's not a full-scale assault, but it has the appearance of someone testing the defenses.

This is textbook Communist bullshit. They attack rural communities that would not agree with their politics while driving food scarcity. When you start to watch farm reports on sites like AgWeb and Drovers, you start to notice the dates line up closely with suspicious activity in the West. I suspect we're going to hear stories about fencing being destroyed in the next month, which is an important indicator. Steer tend to spread out when they graze, meaning there's only going to be so many close to roads. To really get at the beef supply, Communists need ATVs to they can cover long distances of rugged terrain. Anything they can do to pave the way will likely happen.

Tweakers and copycats also killing livestock?

True, but again nothing new under the sun; "Switchs" out of these transitional periods are usually devastating for the very reason you pointed. Just look at how delusional most of the Roman Elite got near the end of the Western Empire.

I do feel bad for the everyday people in California, Oregon, and Washington. These states are held prisoner by what the morons in the cities decide to do and there is little they can do about it, and unfortunately it is the everyday people that are suffering the most from these fires. Seeing small communities destroyed, people's farms and homes wiped out, all because of policies dipshits in the urban areas wanted to the detriment of the rural citizens.
That's why the common saying in Oregon is "if it's Brown flush it down". Most of the state hates her except for the big city lumpenproles that voted her in.

2020 has been rough but tolerable, its legacy is going to run deep and likely the real effects of 2020 wont be felt in earnest until early-mid 2021. Things like the eviction moratorium that Trump did is merely shunting the effects of the economic dislocation from the lockdowns to a later date, not solving it. At some point we're going to have 21 million people getting tossed to the curb once the moratorium ends and the mortgage/rental eviction process begins, alongside widespread collapse of businesses as they default on their leases.

Afro Syndicalist like any other leftist wants to blame all of this on climate change. Here is his take and I respond with my own.
