The Fairly Odd Parents: Fairly Odder

@Super-Chevy454 first of all, thank you. I am of the camp that FOP has immense potential to be a legacy series and I would argue that @UzumakiLeaf proved my point even better than I did. I caught the last season when it aired and I immediately got the feeling Timmy and Chloe felt like they were from different generations, which kickstarted everything.
Trixie Tang
Initially I wanted to give her the friendly rivalry with Tootie but I felt that the impossible crush role fit her better. She is the first rich rid to break out of the mold and hang out with the main group with Veronica following. She left Dimmsdale but comes back just to hang out. The most Riverdale I got.
Trixie likes Timmy but isn’t into him, he likes the child-like attitude but doesn’t find it attractive. I pictured her as the one besides AJ that knows best what she wants to do with her life, she funds museums with a special focus on comic books.

Remy Buxaplenty and Juandissimo
Remy is sort of the same as Trixie in that he matured the rich snob trope and got closer to Timmy. A Peter Parker-Harry Osborne dynamic. Remy would actually consult Timmy on business ventures to purposely piss money or get ahead of the curb. Remy “lost” Juandissimo in his last appearance in the show, but the fairy has stuck around watching over his favourite godchild.

Mrs. Doombringer
Something funny about that one and the newest idea I got. Not Doombringer but an “inspired” plot. The webcomic was supposed to start when Chloe enters 4th grade and the main reason she is excited is because she gets a home room teacher that everyone loves (think a Ken Rosa from Big Nate). During the summer said teacher goes through a comically tragic series of events which make her unable to teach and gets replaced by a Clara Godfrey which has a hateboner for Chloe. Chloe wishes to “replace the replacement” and formulates the wish in such a way that the good teacher gets cured of her depression by being “replaced” with an “anti-version” of herself. The original good teacher was all blue and the new one is a yellow psycho, yada yada. This replaced teacher now is forced to live knowing she couldn’t even be sad in peace because of one student and becomes Chloe’s nemesis for the joy of the entire class. Going from mere human to a skinwalker type scenario.

Mark Chang and Princess Mandie
One retarded idea was that in order to cover the existence of fairies it gets decided to throw the aliens under the bus and Mandie is the sacrificial lamb. Queue Raid Area 51 memes.

the Pixies and Anti-fairies
My plan was that Norm gets to use Chloe and Poof for his plans and decides to thank them by placing them in their personal hells. Chloe’s would be being trapped as an adult without a childhood or magic but still being treated as a child (callback to the first episode I watched of the Chloe season). Chloe manages to break free by temporal alliance with the Pixies, who are thriving in this world.
Something that I got thinking a while ago is what kind of godchild could an anti-fairy have which turned into the idea of the replaced teacher. Norm is still playing them all btw.

One thing that kinda annoyed me in latter FOP was abandoning the whole “Trixy/Timmy” stuff for the usual “oh, the creepy weird girl that stalks you is actually your one true love, you just have to settle” thing with Tootie. Not saying Timmy has to get super popular girl or anything, by cartoons like that always have the guy learn to settle or make the popular girl to be not worth it. I liked the depth Trixie got in earlier seasons, her being shown as more than just “the popular one”, the slow build of her actually liking Timmy more and more. Hell, Wishology actually let them sort be a thing for a bit(before the implied reset at the end).

But we gotta stick with the “underappreciated girl” thing, which is fine when done right, but I think they overdid Tootie’s obsessiveness in this particular case. And then just did the same thing only with Veronica.

I don’t know where I was going with that, I just needed to say it.

Yeah and the "creepy" Tootie turning into a hot woman, as shown in the ill-fated live-action movies with Drake Bell, as she was coming from the swimsuit issue of Sports Illustrated (before they got woke) is cliche as well.

I digged a bit about some of the FOP writers. Seems then one of them, Jack Thomas was involved in the script of the ill-fated episode "It's a wishful life" also participated in the scripts of the following episodes: "Emotion Commotion" (where Trixie kiss Chester), "Just the two of us" when Trixie goes crazy where he co-wrote that episode with Scott Fellows and this is where the positive image of Trixie shown in "The Boy who'll be Queen" was gone to the recycle bin, "Beach Bummed", "You Doo", "Genie Meanie Minie Mo", "Back to the Norm" and the last episode he was involved was "Fairy Odd Baby" co-written with Butch Hartman, Kevin Sullivan and Scott Fellows.

Edit: Btw, it would have been cool if the 2 popular brats, Tad and Chad, got at least a visit from karma in one episode like being dumped in the trash bin. Don't worry I don't wish to see an anvil falling on them, I'm not that cruel. :story:

I don’t mind Tootie, I think her and Timmy had more to work with for a relationship. Both are clearly neglected by their parents and have to endure the torture of Vicky. Tootie is attached to Timmy as a result of her abusive household and Timmy being one of the only people to really show any kindness towards her (see the episode where he gives her Cosmo and Wanda). There is some level where Timmy seems to understand Tootie and how her situation is even worse then his as she lives with Vicky and gets no fairies to give her a loving presence due to her inability to keep secrets, which is really her thankfulness towards having someone care for her.

Both Timmy and Tootie have very similar depressing upbringings, and seem to both have some mutual affection towards each other due to this, so I can get the pairing. I think the issue is we really needed to see a grown up Tootie (not live action) and how she became better as she got away from her childhood. I think if they showed her as a good wife and person who got help, more people would be on board, but as is, we never got a true Tootie-Timmy adult showcase.

The text on her t-shirt "Beauty has no skin tone" reminded me of some the FOP writers who have a bias toward Tootie talking about forgetting the creepy look and think of the inner beauty, a theory who had gone down the drain with the ill-fated live-action movies. Btw, why the pair of glasses that woman wear reminds me of Tootie? Lol! :story:

Okay, Imma be real, Tootie was really never that ugly like the show wanted to depict her as. She wasn’t fat and she had no deformities. Her ugliness was a pair of glasses and braces. Honestly, if that is the bar for ugliness than the live action films shouldn’t come off as weird when they make her hot as an adult. She just grew out of braces and wore contacts, big whoop.

I will defend Tootie as I don’t think she was terrible for Timmy to end up with. I think both her and Trixie have strong cases for and against, as they work for different aspects of Timmy.

I didn’t think Tootie was ugly. I just found the personality a bit too extreme to be likeable/pitied.

I agree Tootie wasn't really uguily. I mean I think that was the point of the live action movies once she got older her braces were gone and started to wear contacts did Timmy relaize she was beautiful the whole time.

Again I think it was ment to be child crush that she took to the extreme. Didn't she acknowledge that in the live action movies that she went a little too crazy on her crush with Timmy as a kid or something? It's been a decade since I seen those movies so my memory of them isn't very good.

Couldn’t say, I never had any real desire to watch the live action stuff.

That remind me of a tv movie from the early 1990s titled "Archie: to Riverdale and Back Again" where Jughead meet how Big Ethel changed since they graduated from high school.
