Diseased The Fidget Spinner Community - "It's Not A Trend, It's A Way Of Life."

Man, I remember slap-bracelets being huge when I was in High School, at that age the only people involved with younger kids fads were girls trying to be cutesy and drama/art geeks. But both groups would put like 10 on each arm and wear their cut-off denim vests over an art-house T-shirt and show them off to any and everyone that commented on the 30 pounds of vinyl windows blinds covered in neon leopard print

Just came across this. He is 9 hours in.

So this is the power of autism. Not bad.

What's with the recent trend of treating ADD like some kind of mental handicap on par with autism? I've been noticing that more and more over the last few years.

It's giving the good people with ADD a bad name. Down with this sort of thing.

Lol pretty much. I knew a few people in school with it and it never seemed like it was actually a big deal, just made them easily distracted and kind of hyperactive.

I don't get the fidget spinner craze, like I get a lot of other crazes like tamagotchis or pokemon cards/yugioh cards since they're games and I get scoobies/loom bands since they require some amount of hand eye coordination and you get a cute bracelet to wear at the end. Hell I even got the appeal of those slime aliens due to the myth that you could somehow make them pregnant, or shag bands since they allowed cringey 14 year old edgelords to brag about their supposed ~sexual prowess~ in the dumbest way possible.

But...these...I just don't understand the appeal like you spin them...and that's it, that's all you do. It just confuses the hell out of me.

So I finally actually saw one of these things in the wild because I guess I live under a rock.

It has cemented my opinion that the people obsessed with these things must be autistic, especially anyone who pays more than like $3 for one to use as a desk toy during mind-numbing conference calls or something.

Like, seriously, people are working themselves into a lunatic fervor over these? Spending hundreds of dollars on fuckin' these?

Any excuse for shitty parents to not accept responsibility for raising worthless hellions.

That's what I was trying to say on FB last night when more stupid parents were defending their special snowflakes' reasons to have one in class.

I decided to look up a few gifs/videos of the spinners to see what it was all about. and frankly, I'm not impressed. I don't get what the hype is all about.
