I saw one for the first time IRL yesterday. It was marketed as a stress relief aid.

Imagine that scene in Saving Private Ryan, but the soldiers have Fidget Spinners on the way over, calming their overwhelming stress (but they still had it easy compared to today's teens!)
It definitely would've gone differently...!

And by that I mean all their boats would've been bombed before they touched shore, and none of them would've even realized.

my theory is the people who buy into these shitty fads have actually regressed to a lower developmental state and have been reduced to the instinct of fidgeting with things for stimulation and gratifying base instincts

I disagree. Pretty much everything that's ever been bought or sold has been shoved in somewhere sexual, or penetrated sexually by someone.
That's just humanity.

Some dumbass attached razers to his spinner and sliced his dick off:

At least he can't pass on his exceptionalism to future generations.

“He admitted that he’d taken my husband’s straight razor and attached it to a spinner, because he said he wanted to make a battle spinner. But I’ve got no idea why he spun it so close to his genitals.”

Nominate this for random quote.
