Has anyone played the FFIV DS port. I haven't played the original in years but did they make the game harder?

I have it but haven’t played it, or at least didn’t play much of it. Once ff4 pixel remaster released I played that instead. I didn’t like the ugly 3d graphics of the ds games.Has anyone played the FFIV DS port. I haven't played the original in years but did they make the game harder?
I have only played ds 4 so I can't answer your question if it's harder than the other versions but I can give my input on the difficulty. It's not to hard except for a couple of fights. I don't believe the game explains that undead are(maybe I'm just stupid) weak to healing magic/items so the fight with the undead fiend on the mountain is almost impossible if you try to attack him without healing magic. Next unfair fight is the fight with golbez's shadow dragon. Most of your party is useless or gimped since they can't wear or use anything metal so the fight is kinda up to luck. Next would be the fight with Golbez. You only have Rydia to revive the party which is an issue since Rydia is super weak due to her not being in the party for a few hours, luck based if you win. The entirety of the moon dungeons have enemies that are 10x harder than the final boss so it's best just to run. Not to hard expect for those few dungeons and bosses.Has anyone played the FFIV DS port. I haven't played the original in years but did they make the game harder?
XVI didn't even do Devil May Fantasy well. Its combat is a pale imitation of Devil May Cry, despite having a DMC veteran designing the combat.I like clive but I quit 16 it just....wow it was awful. So bad. Combat was great but wow. It was devil may fantasy
Sounds like one of the leaks I read may actually be true. One thing I’ve heard from reviewers that they aren’t exactly too keen on in Rebirth is that the ending is apparently messy.
Make of that what you will.
I loved FFXVI combat but I don’t think it had enough basic combos. All I could do was do the same basic combo that barely does any damage while I wait for abilities to cool down. It also would’ve been nice if some enemies were weak to some eikons or if eikon abilities inflicted status effects.XVI didn't even do Devil May Fantasy well. That was to be expected. Just look at the previous installment. One thing I’ve heard from reviewers that they aren’t exactly too keen on in Rebirth is that the ending is apparently messy.

Now that was not expected. I thought this part was going to cover the rest of disk 1. What's the point of cutting that out? How are you supposed to get to the Temple of the Ancients then never mind the Forgotten Capital (and don't be a smartass and say by Black Chocobo). No rocket town in this one has me worried
It is different. Some skills are changed a bit like Cecil's Darkness Wave is instead a Buff that increases your Attack Stat at the cost of a bit of HP each attack. And due to the Augment System, you can customize the shit out of your party and New Game+ gives you the Limit Break Augment which just removes the 9999 Damage Limit.Has anyone played the FFIV DS port. I think they cut out wutai as well and had it be for the 3rd part, so it’s the same for rocket town. Although I don’t know how the fuck you’re supposed to meet cid in this game then. Now that was not expected. I thought this part was going to cover the rest of disk 1. You knew they were going to do this. Don't be upset! They're liars.Kinda pissed about wutai tho supposedly we will see it in the final installment.
Yep, I am at tha Golbez/Rydia fight and he defeats me quick. Just don't want to invest in a game with grindy bullshit.I have only played ds 4 so I can't answer your question if it's harder than the other versions but I can give my input on the difficulty. Everything is out of order this time round. It's not going to be a stright line from A to B. Not to mention History has been changed. That's why Wutai isnt in this. They are a peer power to Shinra now and they didnt want to make them the comic relief nation anymore. If im not mistaken I think the soldiers we saw in the very first trailer are from wutai. Now that was not expected. I thought this part was going to cover the rest of disk 1.
