Hold up: how in the ever-loving fuck did Furbies of all things spawn a wretched hive of SJW bullshit with paedophilia mixed in? I know the depths of the Internet are pretty damn deep but surely there must be a rock bottom eventually...

Somehow its always SJWs. @Jaimas, why is it almost always SJWs that wind up causing niche communities to turn into actual drama hellscapes of everlasting reee?

Then why don't you share your evidence of Funnyfurby being rude?

Holy shit I haven't laughed like this in a long time, so there was a reboot (of course) and they go for stupid money:

But the real luls come in the ebay listings for the original ones, £250 (about $8,000,000) for this poor fucker

(archive seemed to break images)

Seriously, go on Ebay, google "Original Furby" and prepare for some of the most distraught creations you've ever seen

There are several reasons why. The first reason is attention, as @Vyxenn said. Of course they have many methods to do this such as virtue signalling, complaining about injustice and so on and so forth. If they can get attention from causing drama in a fandom - no matter how niche it might be - they'll do it. The second reason I feel is that nearly everybody nowadays has to complain about something or view things with a glass half empty mentality, which is more common than one might think. It's just that these sjws take it to an extreme because they're encouraged to do so by others either in their social groups, peer pressuring, the media or their teachers.

The third reason, and I feel that this reason is one I've come to from experience rather than being a simple witness or hearing horror stories from others, is that sjws don't seem to like the idea of others enjoying their interests in ways the sjws have been taught not to enjoy. They have the mentality of "If I can't be happy, then nobody can be happy!" and that's when they decide to take over fandoms and ruin them for everybody else no matter how harmless that fandom might be. Yes, being into furbies is a really strange hobby, but if the people there were just interested in collecting them and meeting with other people who liked them then there'd be no problem imo. Sure, they'd be made fun of, but it wouldn't be enough to warrant having a thread on here for the most part.

That's my two cents on the issue at least.
