The Furby Community - Because robots in fursuits are serious business.

Haven’t viewed this thread in a while and after catching up I’m feeling inspired to try some DIY and make my own. Any suggestions or videos on where to start?

No videos but I would recommend buying damaged furbies off eBay or going to your local thrift store and seeing if any were donated. If it’s damaged out of box you’ll probably find some decent listings.
Also don’t forget FB market place and Goodwill’s online auction.

It is genuinely surprising that people still have furbies after the year 2005 or so. I haven't heard a single thing about them in many years, except when discussing nostalgia.

Furbies are little critters that like to talk to you in their own native language, until you culturally appropriate them and force them to speak Engrish.

recently went down a furby rabbit hole in 3 steps
furby video made by a guy i like shows up in my recommended. watch it, get extremely creeped out.
intrigued at why the fuck furbies do this shit, i conduct further research
turns out most of the creepy shit they do is typically from low batteries, other hardware problems, and people misunderstanding the things they say.

i don't know if i'm less or more terrified of them now but i never had one and never want one in my home.

I had one. Honestly they're kinda boring toys. Never understood why people thought they were creepy.

Sure it's a fanmade spoof parody, but it definitely captures that cursed aura of childhood schizo fear about them.
