The peolle saying that neither genshin nor sonic deserve the players choice award are fucking retarded, they are saying that GoW deserve the aword more, yet I fail to see how GoW is even a game that is even close to goty.

I just miss the days when people played games for fun, now every god damn GOTY awards show it's turn into shit about the culture war, it honestly just tiresome that gaming as a whole is just a front by both sides to sperg out about political shit.

This is why I generally don't keep up with any gaming since it's become the same thing as pedowood cultural marxist mask off shit.

It's just that people will go on about games being made by "troons" or "neo nazis" and all I have to ask is just simply. Is the game fun? I honestly feel people have lost the meaning of gaming as whole in today's hyper political world.

I'll never understand /v/ and some people on the internet with the view of the GOTY awards. Shouldn't it be your thoughts on your game of the year? instead of letting journos and the like dictate that? (this goes for any side, sonyfags xbox cunts, nintendo fags, PCMR, etc)
>then again that's implying /v/ even plays games
While some people are truly like that, I don't think it's anything more than a slim minority. GOTY is basically a gauge of how diverged from on the ground gamers the journalist class and game producers are. The more distant the two, the less healthy the industry is for fans. Elden Ring not getting recognition would have been a huge strike to the tastes of the consumer for example, and while it's more of an appeasement as I speculated earlier it still shows at least a thread of understanding from the top to the bottom. Most people who aren't psychos (maybe stay away from places where Sonic fans are for awhile...) only really care in that regard.

Every time I see game trailers, I remind myself that getting excited for upcoming games will only disappoint or frustrate me, like with Cyberpunk. But goddamn if I'm not excited for FF16 and AC6. I didn't even know I wanted AC6 until I saw the mech.

Please, be good games.

That Rabbi Bill Clinton kid was pretty funny. He really seems like some rando that walked up on stage with the Elden Ring guys. I didn't see him when the Elden Ring people were walking up and high-fiving the audience; the camera cuts make it look like he just appeared on stage. He stands behind everyone, rocks himself back and forth instead of standing still, and constantly looks off somewhere to his left. Like he's trying to psyche himself up to shitpost IRL in front of a crowd. There's even a funny moment where he leans into the mic, presumably to give his rabbi speil, but then the translator in the gray jacket starts talking, and he suddenly jerks back and resumes his stimming rituals.

Anyways, the only thing I was really interested in was Hades 2. I thought Hades was pretty good, but got pretty tedious after a while. I hope Hades 2 adds some things like an endless mode, or something like the Streets of Rogue mutators, where you could add wacky run modifiers to do things like have NPCs and objects be in places they don't belong.
