The Game Oversimplification Thread - Take any game and intentionally make it sound boring

Skateboarders are kidnapped and forced to destroy public property worldwide for bragging rights.

Damn, that was quick.

Here's some more:
  • A dystopian government has given you a child. Raise it.
  • Two yarn buddies have the time of their lives while a family falls apart in the background.
  • The physical embodiment of the 1980's challenges you to a downhill skating tourney.
  • Old, stingy capitalist forces his friends to make games for a contest so that he can scam its participants out of their money.
  • Spit chewing gum at your friends and/or enemies.
  • The fate of humanity rests on the shoulders of a group of anarchist furries.
  • A story-driven RPG where you'll most likely be spending most of your time doing anything other than progressing through the story.
  • Mercenary prevents a South American country from being fucked over by the U.S. government.

We have a winner!

I'm guessing 1 and 3 are Kojima games, like Death Stranding and MGSV.

the middle one honestly is just fucking, any story driven RPG, like how everyone actually plays Fallout and Elder Scrolls games, but I'm going to tentatively guess Disco Elysium.

Yes, but which game?
I don’t remember the minutiae of Warioware’s plots. It’s either Twisted or Smooth Moves.
  • RPG where you can be four robots armed with Colts who shrink down to go inside a woman’s body to recover the macguffin

I can tell you with certainty that 3 is a Kojima game. Not MGSV, but a Kojima game.
As for number 2, it's not Disco Elysium. I'll give you a hint: think Nintendo.

It was Warioware Gold, but since you said Warioware I'll count that as correct.

Another one: Go from twink to twunk over the span of nearly a decade. (This one's three games, all from the same series.)

I always forget about Peace Walker for some reason, which is a shame since its one of the better ones.

I thought maybe Chrono Trigger before I typed Disco Elysium originally since the game's all about time hopping, but I decided that was probably overthinking it, and still do.

I haven't played any of them, but its probably a Fire Emblem, since most people who play that game are more into the dating sim tack on over the strategic warfare.

It's neither of them. Think open world.

Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild?
We have a winner! I've spent half of my time in that game exploring and doing side quests than actually beating the main story quests.

Star Fox series
Nope.

Edit: These are the last ones I swear:
  • Real life hockey players face off against fictional hockey players - NO HOLDS BARRED.
  • Guy goes to high school to escape being a ninja, instead gains a harem of girls who want to be ninja too.
  • Climb a leaderboard to become besties with your idol.
  • An amnesiac is given two choices - help save the world or help destroy it. Or do neither, as long as you're brooding constantly it doesn't matter.
