For those unaware, in this time period 秦/Qin was the name used for the Roman Empire. The royal family of the Qin Empire in China was wiped out with their "dynasty" about 450 years earlier.
In other words, the "Qin dynasty" being discussed is either the Romans, or some idiot not understanding that Qin is a surname.

Something I could never understand is why Jews never tried to integrate into the cultures they were entering. What gives them the mentality of subverting the population they mingle with and hoisting themselves into power?

My theory for the time regarding Jews getting power in European countries was because the countries they entered were Christian, and since Christianity forbid much of the populous from receiving a decent education, the pro-education Jews took the more prestigious positions like moneylending or jewel-cutting. When you have more people with the same background enter similar positions, they tend to gatekeep it from outsiders.

This is a big simplification I know so if anyone has any input I’d appreciate it because it’s something that’s been on my mind for a long time now.

A lot of it is they consider themselves "God's chosen people" despite taking every opportunity to reject him. The rest of it is that what we call "Jews" are not the historical Jews, but a radical faction that has rejected all attempts of reform. The rest of the Jews integrated into their host nation's or accepted the teachings of Jesus Christ - who was just trying to tell them that if they weren't dicks then they wouldn't be hates so much. They have spent thousands of years learning to resist any adjustments to their culture to keep up with the advances of society, and continue to refuse to give up old and detrimental behaviours.

This might be one of that last times they repeat the cycle, because global communication has grown so extensive that there are few places that they can move to after destroying the last place they lived in.
