False. A Jewish state was long in discussion before WW2 because antisemitism has been rampant across Europe for a long time, because Jews were mostly upper class people. Visonary politicians saw this and to avoid a bloodbath, they debated the possibility of a Jewish state, but that idea only fully manifested after WW2, which was too fucking late.
