Also a curiosity I hear from some places is that Jesus Christ was said to have been a Judaean from the tribe of Judah - and in some circles that I heard that it is quite different from today's Jews.
One thing is certain that Judaea was a nationality much like "Brazilian" is today. Alas, that is another question entirely, and honestly I don't know much. I still have my own questions for that sort of thing.
