The General Antisemitism Thread - No excuses accepted here

“Antisemitism” has two quite different possible meanings. It can mean any opposition to Jews simply because they are Jews. Or it can mean any opposition to Jews for their own opposition to God and to Christ and to the Catholic Church as the continuation of Christ. The first meaning is not Catholic, because Our Lord tells us to love our enemies. But the second meaning does not stop Catholics from defending themselves against so much hatred of God, Christ, and the Church, only they must pray for the salvation of Jews and wish them to be saved, because God tells us to pray for (the eternal salvation of) our enemies.

I thought Catholisism was designed to usurp Christianity which was growing in Rome at the time, and put it under Roman control. Until Martin Luther came along and noticed some things.

Syncretism of European paganism [theoretically borrowed near Eastern mysteries included] with Christianity is what makes European Christianity what it is, like it or not. The best holidays are Christmas, Easter, and Halloween because they showcase that syncretism in their pagan-rooted practices. If you remember doing something fun on a Christian holiday as a child, it was most likely while doing something pagan.

Easter eggs and Christmas trees may be pagan in origin, but as secular ways to celebrate the holidays they're pretty fun. If the holidays were only going to church and reading the Bible, I feel like they wouldn't be very nourishing for the heart.

You know, reminds me of that Solzhenitsyn quote. It goes like this: "“We know that they are lying, they know that they are lying, they even know that we know they are lying, we also know that they know we know they are lying too, they of course know that we certainly know they know we know they are lying too as well, but they are still lying."

Jews know they were the Bolsheviks, we know they were the Bolsheviks, they even brag about it, but if asked about it they will deny it. They admit it among themselves though.

Until Stalin completely buckbroke them by purging them all, Yagoda, Zinoviev, Kamenev, Radek, and Trotsky to name a few. I know "dood, was stalin... le based?" is one big Nazbol can of worms, but the fact that very few subversive Jews were left by the time the Great Purge was over like Yemelyan Yaroslavsky and were outnumbered far, far more by self-hating or cowed Jews like Kaganovich says something about the ease with which you can pry a movement from the hands of the little hat people.

That was another guy, Dzerzhinsky. He was Polish and Catholic, you're thinking of Yagoda who was NKVD chief for 2 years in the late 30's. Kaganovich was heavily involved in the purges, partly because he was Stalin's right hand man at the time, and he did recommend Yezhov be chosen as head of the NKVD (He was the chief before Yagoda), and his own brother Mikhail was purged (Committed suicide to avoid testifying against himself).

Because the biggest detail for which he is known is cult/totalitarian studies, consistently characterized as "Nazism", while he himself is a jew, yet instead of tying his scandalous behavior to that identity, it is considered a point of irony by simpletons who cannot name evil any other way.
At least the articles about him that are addicted to not-see-posting name him as a jew, so there's that.
