I wonder if part of the reason Jews are so obsessed with occupying the Middle East is because otherwise archeologists are bound to uncover all of the evils they did in the past?
 
The Jewish leaders were on Christ's case so much. When I was younger and heard the story of Jesus healing someone on the Sabbath, and asking the leaders if it was permitted to heal others on the Sabbath, I thought to myself 'just let Him do His thing geez guys'. But long ago I've come to realize that the Jews acted out of fear. They KNEW He was The Lamb. And they didn't want to bow to anyone. They liked their cushy lives ordering around people deemed lesser than themselves, and Christianity's teachings told them 'no each human is filled with sin and no one is better than the other'.

Big noses got Big Mad.

As for the infant grave. The Cannanites, I believe and fear, were not fully destroyed--or perhaps their sin simply found new, godless hosts.
