OOh... oooh.... Friday the 13th Everyone!
Oooohhhh.... bad things happen for no reason today!

"Ha ha haaa.... like that silly little superstition is real" I thought to myself as I hit the road for training today (just got my learners permit Yesterday).

Well, on a simple 1 hour drive this afternoon, 5 exits down the highway and back again, I saw:
- Semi Truck off the road with collapsed right front wheel/hub
-Another truck getting spot-checked by the DOT for something they saw on his rig they didn't like.
- Trailer remnants on side of road that had clearly and recently been on fire
- Rolloff Dumpster delivery truck, pulled over, with dumpster contents actively on fire
-Chevy Pickup hauling dirt trailer that had lost control of trailer, causing trailer to spin, pull him around 180 degrees , off the road, down the shoulder backwards and then BOTH ended up flipped-over and on TOP of a bridge guardrail.
-Semi Truck with engine actively on fire blocking opposite lanes of freeway, while fire vehicles attempted to navigate the 2-mile backup behind it to assist...

You know what? Think I'll just go to bed early tonight.....

Speaking of training, here's another achievement unlocked for the rookie- Park at truck stop, with ACTUAL truck.

The only bad luck thing that happened today was the Wingstop I went to had a broken ice machine and the soda was warm anyways.

You know something, I feel like my revenge is complete for the time being.

I work in an office and listen to a lot of podcasts while on the clock. Anyone have any recommendations that aren’t filled with woke bullshit? Topic doesn’t matter, just anything you find interesting that manages to keep political propaganda and Twitter buzzwords out of it.

“My Dad wrote a porno” is typically wokeness free or light, and alot of podcasts about 80s movies and comic books stick to the subject matter close enough.
The podcasts about my fav sci fi series like Bobiverse and Expeditionary Force also stick to the subject matter well. A main character in Expeditionary Force is a very rude a.I who’s like an evil Frazier Crane who always calls humans “stupid monkeys” and says “Do you want a ban-NA-NA”. That beercan is a laugh riot. There’s also a humanoid hamster named “Nert” who’s funny.

And then you decide you've had enough of that, and are about to move on to being a cool and nice person.
