The Ghostbusters Thread (Old, New, Animated, Whatever)

When your movie trailer shows scenes from the climax of the movie, including the final villain...

Your movie probably isn't that good.

Again... this is all for a film that all signs points to sucking shit. Not because of the women, but because it's a lazy rehash of the other two movies that recycles the same jokes
Lazy is the operative word here. Earlier somebody posted Redlettermedia's video mocking all the trailer reactions, but like with most of their stuff, it had a good point. "Protonpacks! Slimer! These are things I know!"
Its a lazy cash grab shielded weakly with feminists blindfolded to this

It's the ghostbusters logo :c Couldn't they have come up with something more creative?

It's like the film is cannibalizing itself. What a fuck up.

I'm almost afraid to see if the ghost is the full logo or not( the red circle with the line through it).

I'm curious has any other media movies, games, books, whatever tried to make "fuck you you're all just haters!" A major part of their advertising campaign? I tried to think of another example and couldn't come up with anything, probably because being openly hostile to potential audiences is so fucking stupid.

The last major ad campaign that I can recall doing something similar was the Tiger Gamecom handheld in the late 90's. They didn't market it by calling people haters, but instead insulted their intelligence and called them dumb for not buying a shitty handheld. Owning a Gamecom meant you were savvy, otherwise you're just an idiot.

The Gamecom was subsequently a massive failure.

Well it probably helped that the Gamecom is really, really terrible:

Which is a decent prediction for how the movie will be based on the trailers.

I bet they did the all female cast on purpose just so they could pull the misogyny card at every criticism. It's essentially become the ultimate comeback.

"Oh you don't hate this movie, you just hate women."

What? You guys didn't know about that? The villains name is "Ronin". That was revealed like last year.
