Not that I really trusted Rotten Tomatoes' reviews all the time, but what happened Fembusters merely reinforces that some of those reviewers are complete hacks with an agenda.

I love how they add the "GAY WOMEN" in this as if it was clearly announced in the teaser or even the film when its just barely mentionned after the facts by Feig.![]()

you're thinking of China. The only way I see the entire premise working in Japan is if they just make the ghosts into 'spirits' or something, since that is the one exception to the whole 'no ghosts' taboo I can think of off the top of my head.
Really, Asian cultures, in general. To them, ghosts/spirits are everyday things.you're thinking of China.
So I hear the movie is making back it's production budget now. Shills for the movie are acting like this is a big deal cuz ITS NOT A FLOP NOW GUISE but they fail to remember how much money was sunk into marketing as well.
I was buying groceries at Walmart last night and I saw a shitload of figures of the original Ghostbusters, but none of the reboot. In the last week or so, I've seen a lot of Ghostbusters food and toy merchandise all in the image of Slimer, StayPuft and the Ghostbusters logo, but strangely I haven't seen the Fem!busters faces on anything. I wonder why...
At my local Target, the Ghostbusters toys were on clearance the same weekend the movie came out.I hear a lot of the merch didn't sell well?

I wonder if people were actualy buying the 2016 ones or if they ended up in clearance. I hear a lot of the merch didn't sell well?
After pulling in nearly $46 million at the box office, making it one of the top-grossing live-action comedies in years, Sony executives are looking to capitalize on the success of Ghostbusters and plans are in the works for a sequel.
President of worldwide distribution at Sony, Rory Bruer, told The Wrap he expects the revamped Ghostbusters to become a very important franchise within the studio, adding that the Ghostbusters world was "alive and well."
"While nothing has been officially announced yet, there's no doubt in my mind it will happen," Bruer said.
With Sony seemingly behind the idea of following up with at least one more movie, the question is whether the cast and writer/director Paul Feig are interested in returning. Feig has previously mentioned that he has a couple of ideas for a second movie, but the rest of the cast has been mum on whether they'd like to return.
The post-credits scene in the movie hints at a specific idea for a sequel, but Bruer didn't say if that's the direction the studio and Feig want to head toward if a sequel is made.
Ghostbusters, which has been largely praised by critics, is currently playing in theaters.
If Sony did go for a sequel I'd go out and out and be brave, be bold. Go for something bold and better than what was presented and don't cut plot crucial elements because of whinging tits on twitter.
You want to eat them or drink their "juice"? How patriarchal! In the last week or so, I've seen a lot of Ghostbusters food and toy merchandise all in the image of Slimer, StayPuft and the Ghostbusters logo, but strangely I haven't seen the Fem!busters faces on anything. I wonder why...
Yeah, honestly I'd have gotten Ernie Hudson (with cameos by Akyroyd) to train the next generation of busters (open casted for all) after Murray gets arrested for tax evasion or something and Ramis dies of old age as the eccentric (but now deeply respected) scientist he played in that film. They deal with the ghostbros shitting on the (now actual) profession since I'd have ghost outbreaks be rare sort of cyclical events barring occult fuckery, which means that fraudsters and kooks can ply their trade but must be careful about it, and the villain for the movie is the ghost of a crime boss aiming to make New York his city again.
Not Undirected Improv the Movie, as directed by "Guy not used to big budget films and who can't fucking adult".
