I woke up an hour ago and didn't read the full thread but from the little I read it's still unknown and honestly it all points to a big hoax/setup to fuck up the farms.
The only "confirmation" we have is a friend of his saying "I called the police and confirm it - No details tho. Source: Dude trust me".

What's with these wannabe hacktivist skiddies and thinking that LARPing as a hacker is cool? Literally attaching your name to a group is the stupidest thing you can do to blow your OPSEC and have the FBI knocking on your door. People involved in hacking don't attach their name to their activities unless they glow or are really stupid. You can be confident about your OPSEC all day, but blowing it is still a chance that increases the more you participate. There are some obvious exceptions if you live in a country that doesn't give a fuck about cybersecurity laws.

Even outside of the danger with blowing your OPSEC, these idiots still seem to think that Anonymous is a cohesive group with a structure. Even back in 2008, retards like this were being made fun of. Anonymous has never been a structured group. I am too lazy to look, but I wouldn't be surprised if the people who actually participated in activities under the Anonymous name are still in prison. The only proof you need about Anonymous being irrelevant is that you can't get away with LARPing as an actual group. Try it sometime. The best case scenario is that you get called out for being a turbo sperg or you get a knock on the door from the authorities asking about these supposed illicit activities you are bragging about for e-clout.

I am somewhat optimistic that he will reveal himself sooner rather than later. Near thinks he is very clever, but he is also terminally online. I dont think he can survive without any validation from or contact with his discord groups. He can come back under a new name, but I really do think he secretly craves the asspats from the community for being the 'genuis emulator guy' - that's the only thing that he has ever achieved, as he said himself.
