I phoned the US Embassy in Minato, Tokyo, after you posted this.

Apparently they've been getting a lot of calls about David Ginder, and the level of concern was sufficiently high that they put in the effort of finding him. Anyway, turns out he's absolutely fine - they managed to track down his workplace and catch him there; he explained that he'd had a bit of a meltdown over the weekend but he's bounced back. They actually gave me his number, and I phoned him! We had a lovely chat and Dave explained that he's really embarrassed about everything and ashamed of what he put his internet friends through, so will probably stop posting on the internet for the foreseeable future - he said he saw it as a clean break and he's going to focus on going to therapy and making new friends in Japan. Dave even decided to use some of his savings to book himself into an exclusive ryokan (with a private onsen!) in Hokkaido - he's not taken a holiday in three years so his company's let him take a month off. Lovely bloke, it sounds like this was a real wake up call.

To respect Dave's privacy I will not be discussing this further. I will, however, put these details into an anonymous Googledoc and post it on twitter, so that various news outlets can publish a retraction.
Interesting if true, but... yeah still kind of in the "is it true tho" territory

If nothing else, that confirms it. The odds of someone else having that identical couch is astronomical. That AND the guy's face in it? This man is 100% Byuu.
Don't get too far ahead of yourself. I see this going just like DSP's WWE champions account. I envision we will get a bunch of little clues that when taken as a whole, strongly suggest they are the same person, but I'm doubting we will find a link indisputable enough to convince the people who need convincing.

Unless of course he really did do himself in. We are likely to eventually get proof if that is true. It was stated earlier in one of these threads that deaths abroad do get publicly reported, so wait about 6 months for that list to be updated I guess.

Not just the pills themselves, but the variety of pills. I cannot imagine someone being prescribed four different anti-depressants at once. Byuu said something about having tried "every antidepressant in Japan" - if he tried several different courses over three years it's feasible he'd have a stack of unfinished meds from different prescriptions.

I guess the only scenario that might be semi plausible is if Hector phoned up pretending to be Byuu's brother or something - the Japanese police would be struggling to get ahold of next of kin if the consulate was closed that evening. Although I think that's still immensely unlikely.
so either way, dude'd be a liar
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

he's been dead for 12 years, he killed him

THIS IS A PSA:
DO NOT OVERDOSE ON PARACETAMOL OR ACETAMINOPHEN. It will take you a week or more to die and no one will be able to help you. You won't get put out of your misery unless you live in The Netherlands. And every single doctor/nurse/relative will be haunted by your screams until the day they die.
Wait, Tylenol? WTF does a Tylenol OD do to you? I thought Asprin was the one you absolutely must not take too much of.

So, according to this autsimo sperg talk - Can I technically pay some rando who claims to be a Wikipedia editor to make a tweet saying "Wikipedia user GorillaWarfare has AIDS and is currently dying from it after having forceful sex with an 11-year-old African child." in a medium article and it would be considered a valid source?

Because, if so, that's pretty cool.
Nah, I've went through that with another wikipedia sperg with the GamerGate article. Medium articles are blogs and are NOT considered valid sources. Especially if they have lots of researched sources and detailed evidence proving things in the GamerGate article are false.

Unless they say what a wikipedia sperg wants them to say, then they're 100% unquestionable truth ordained by god.

If I've been keeping up with the thread well enough, it seems like most of his personal details have been confirmed, but then any info on David Ginder trails off at the point where he split with his husband (probably by design).
Is it possible he took and kept his husband's last name? Maybe people are already searching for David Tresner, but I haven't seen it mentioned yet. Women sometimes keep their married name after a divorce, not sure about the gays.

Apparently so, but they have admin privileges so anything they don't like get deleted.

What if I paid a celebrity to do it? I bet I could get some Twitch thot to say it for $10 and then have her sign off on it.

Fucking called it. Still, what has "anonymous" even done of note in the last 10 years
When was the last time 'anonymous' as a hacking group was even remotely relevant again? Loving the 'official anonymous press release' too. This is peak seethe and I love it
I think they played some sad videos in Germany around 4 years back. That's important, right?
