I've always been impressed by the resiliency of this site and the work being done behind the scenes to keep it funded and running despite having odds overwhelmingly stacked against you. It's one thing to maintain something, but another to evolve it into something greater. Kind of inspiring.

I am going to changed both the widget and the featured page so by default it displays both, but has tabs to filter them. However it will be very obvious which are user features. I am hoping that the short feature duration and 30 days in between features that they aren't so insufferable. I expect that on day one that people will feature absolute garbage to be funny, but after a while it will mellow out. I can always change it to be something like twice a month for 6 hours or something instead.

Sounds like a good middle ground. Here is hoping you profit from people's slap fights. I await with baited breath to see when the first forum slap fight evolves into two speds multiboxing featured insults towards each other.

Is $40 the minimum payment you can process with this system? $40 is pretty steep for the average user for a monthly subscription. Do you plan on having lower price tiers like $10-$20? Or are you wanting to have a pseudo limit on the amount of people subscribed via this bill pay?

My goal is 300 people at $40, which I think is reasonable as it's about 2.5% of our daily logins. There's a long, long list of things I need to pay for to upgrade. Day one is upgrading harddrives.

All of the changes are good, except for being unable to even see a banned user's profile posts. Cows with threads like @Alex Hogendorp had 30 pages of profile posts that made it easier to shift through their history on the site, but we're just not able to see that anymore. If it could be changed so that you can view banned user's profile posts, but are unable to comment/reply on their profile I think it would be better.

I think all of the changes are good except for profile privacy. Giving people the ability to gatekeep who can see their profile is a bad idea. Admittedly, I know I'm a retard, but I don't see how someone being able to go on your profile and be a massive sperg is a problem that requires a solution. It's just how the Farms™ is sometimes.

As for what you said about being unable to see the profiles of banned users, I agree. It has been a personal hobby of mine to post getfucked.mp4 to profiles of banned users. I know this is a KF tradition for a great many users.

What if the number is doubled, or tripled? What if it's 1000 subscribers? The front page would be flooded.
The duration might have to be reduced. Or an additional payment tier introduced.
