The Gun Control Debate Thread - Controlling autism since 2022

Don't forget bolt action hunting rifles. Simo Hayha had 259 confirmed commie kills with one. And no scope either.

Your deer rifle is a "sniper weapon of war" and they will attempt to ban it next.

Exactly, the Herostratus effect is why people do it. Firearms have existed in their current state for roughly a century yet many of the school/workplace/etc. shooter types are inspired by Columbine and the media made celebrities out of those guys.

You take a firearm into a school or other venue of choice and unload upon the locals, you're pretty much guaranteed your face and name on national news, if nothing else.
And the media didn't tell the average person what the Columbine guys actually were like. The fact the FBI did a full bore psych profile on both of them

That's not a real term either, as every group has a different interpretation on what it means

Assault rifle is an actual term for weapons.

There is a reason why the M-16 and AK 47 are assault rifles but the FN Fal ad M14 and G3 aren't.

An assault rifle which is an actual term means intermediate cartridge and selective fire. It's gets frustrating when the media terms best out actual recognized terms in tactical terminology.

The gun is one of the greatest equalizers in the history of humanity. It ended the military dominance of knights, has allowed for more effective deterrence against unjust governments, and can be made anywhere and everywhere, so long as the industrial and chemical know-how is there. It is an equalizer of violence, which the state as an entity detests, as it seeks to be the only one to apply violence to lubricate its function. Hence, gun control is a way by which a state can deprive its people of a serious recourse to violence against outsiders, or the state itself. It is a form of self-preservation by the state to increase its power. For example, the Tokugawa Shogunate confiscating all swords in the country to establish its political force.

In so many words, what I mean is this: THE RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED.

To do so is to invite political oppression by the state, and to lack avenues to make a state accountable.

Go repeal the patriot act with your AR-15. And get all the backlogged FOIA that will never see the light out on the internet while you are it.
That's a weird cope

"THE GOVERNMENT IS ALREADY OPRESSING YOU, WHY DO YOU NEED GUNS JUST GIVE UP ALL YOUR RIGHTS!"

Every single time a country or territory has taken guns from citizens, it was followed by genocide. Turkey banned guns and the government killed 800,000 Armenians. The Weimar Republic banned guns and 6 million Jews were killed. Sudan banned guns and 400,000 Sudanese blacks were slaughtered. If you want to take guns out of US citizens hands, you're basically saying you love genocide. Cool opinion, very woke.

Before people had the right to have slaves. Then it was over.
They never had a constitutional right to own slaves. There simply weren't state-level laws (in some states) forbidding slavery. That is, of course, in no way related to the topic at hand, but you are a retard, so that's expected.

Because it complicates everything and a small incident can immediately escalate to a massacre. I'm not one of those americans who now think a mass shooting should just be a regular event, like car crashes.
guys cars kill people we should ban cars and all personal transport

Australia took everyone's guns away but then we just had a barbecue and played beach cricket.

Honestly not the worst idea. Think how great public transport would be if everyone wasn't wasting all that gas money that could go to taxes for it.

Mass shootings are a recent phenomenon, and I believe is caused by media giving a spotlight to mass-shooters. Mass shootings were not as common back then as they are now, because everything is publicized.
Almost every modern mass shooter can trace their steps back to being a Columbine fanboy.
He was making fun of you, nigger
We're in five different layers of irony now.
