Oh I thought it was gonna snow there. I know the real reason they moved it indoors is probably cause they didn't wanna risk Trump getting shot at again, but that doesn't exactly play well when it's bright and sunny out.

I actually went to Trump's first inauguration, lived a lot closer to D.C. and figured why not. Weather wasn't great but I was grateful it wasn't bitterly cold at least. I don't think the boomers bitching about it are missing out on much though. I basically just stood out there for like two hours before barely being able to see Trump as an orange dot for a bit.

the metro is fantastic for this reason. its not like the nearest hotel to the mall is close. you're mostly walking the same distance whether its getting off at the metro stop or staying in that hotel right next to the train station where you need a key to ride the elevator

its not much colder than Obama's first swearing in or kennedy's. Reagan's was below 0 factoring in wind chill. its obvious trump fears being shot.

East Coast got hit with a snow storm over night where the weather casters weren't sure when it would end. Think that and safety is part of the reason its indoors.
