Reminds me of how in the 90's in Brazil a woman was caught after kidnaping over a thousand children, of which some 80% were sent to Israel, she got out of jail in less than 20 years and died in liberty. People in Israel actually defended her when news spread basically saying "we got a very small population, we need kids"

Now imagine a place that is worse than Israel (and Brazil) in all metrics

That's why Israeli families who wanted children traveled to third world countries before Madonna and Angelina (Jolie) did. In the 1980s, they discovered the opportunity to adopt in Brazil. It was far away and expensive, but they went for it".

Despite her crimes, part of Israeli society was moved and supported her when she was arrested in the country in April 1986. Journalist Moisés Rabinovici, Estadão's correspondent in Israel at the time, covered the case and wrote an article in the Brazilian newspaper in which he said that “Many Israelis are prepared to throw themselves over the runway at Tel-Aviv airport to prevent any plane from taking off, taking Arlete Hilú from Minas Gerais back to Brazil, where she is being held in custody”[1]. In the same report, Rabinovici says that “parents of adopted children overcrowded (...) the court, singing and holding roses to protect Arlete even from reporters”.

Another report from the time, published in the Israeli press, described the reception as follows: “Hilú fled to Israel and was devotedly supported by adoptive families who benefited from her ‘services’, people who consider her a hero for having helped them through a stressful time”[22]. The newspaper was referring to the struggle of local families to adopt a baby.

I still remember a video i watched forever ago where a horde of boars where trampling through a run-down urban area and you could clearly see the boar in front was chomping down on a dead, human new born it held in its maw. To this day i have no more details or info on the video but i am still 100% convinced it must've been filmed in india. Literally hell on earth.

Funny thing is, American cows look nothing like Indian cows, so theoretically they should have no issue eating them.
I love animals, but the jeet cow looks like it got exposed to too much radiation and bred with a camel. I never realized how boxy Jersey cows were.

This actually reminds me of something jarring I've noticed but has become prevalent over the years. Dealing with zoom/slack/teams whatever it is in the office, everyone can pick a profile picture. So far so good. A lot of people understandably pick pictures of themselves and over the years I've noticed an almost curious pattern in which its always indian women who visibly adjust the tone and light levels on said profile pictures. To the point where they barely look like the person they're supposed be picturing.

Like most things, it's baffling.

I remember reading that cows in India might be from a different species. Also, i heard some American farmers are bringing over Brahman cows since they can resist the heat and have tons of meat on them
