Not sure if it's been mentioned here before, but something that rarely gets brought up is the complete ruination of entry-level corporate jobs due to offshoring and then the current cycle of importation of labor to/from India.
Everyone can clearly see the teenagers in food service and retail have been thoroughly and brutally replaced without a substitute, but it's also happening in the once-mainstay jobs for the college graduate and early corporate career chaser.
Used to be you could get a degree in finance, join a bank in a call center, and work your way up. Not anymore, there's just far too much competition for it now. It's not just the H1Bs replacing skilled IT workers anymore, it's any job that requires a pulse.
Most notably, I've seen the quality of even the worst English speaker be replaced by pure sub-continental scam-speak. I'm talking about major banks and insurers having these people send "saar do the needful for of consideration your banking account" tier emails to customers.
Now you can't even verify if something is a scam by calling or emailing the details on a website, because the answer is indistinguishable from someone trying to get you to buy $5,000 in gift cards.
