Sorry but there is absolutely nothing impressive about this. I checked and Magnus Carlson is still ranked #1. He loses to people in single games all the time, obviously. In fact there's a win rate bias for white just because it moves first. As much as people believe chess is the ultimate fair, unbiased, unexploitable match of raw intellect, it's not.

Being chess champion isn't impressive anymore like it was in the 90s. It's a closed system. It's easy enough to exploit with rot memorization and brute force if you want to. They have kids now who are literally trained from birth now to do nothing but chess. Because it's an easy way to project that your country is an intellectual superpower.

It's not like back when you had people like Bobby Fischer who just had pure drive, passion and 180 IQ, and could be the best at whatever he chose to do. He was undefeated because he changed chess completely, by coming up with and perfecting new strategies and tactics himself. He spent literally all day every day studying chess, but also came up with new stuff no one ever thought of before.

Chess isn't technically "solved" because there's 10^47 possible moves, but many people consider it to basically be solved because there's chess computers which can play a perfect unbeatable game against a human every time. There are simply no more groundbreaking innovations or revolutions to be had, because it's a closed system and human invented game. There's a reason Bobby Fischer tried inventing Fischer Random Chess to counteract opening theory and memorization, before quitting and saying he hated chess (and that 9/11 was a psyop and the jews made up the holocaust)

There will never be another Bobby Fischer in chess, and there will never be an Indian Bobby Fischer in anything.
