Considering that Hinduism itself is a huge driving force for the dissent with its caste bullshit and the inherent hate for honest work because LOL reincarnation and past sins, its why Indian projects are full of fail.

Wrong, it's because their education system prioritizes memorization over conceptual understanding. This causes students to only have surface level understanding of concepts and not knowing their real world applications. It's also not uncommon for students to pay Russian hackers to leak the answer keys for exams like JEE (Joint Entrance Examination for engineering colleges) and NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for medical colleges).

However, caste DOES play into this, but not in the way you think. Upper castes will take advantage of affirmative action programs for lower castes, faking documents to take slots reserved for OBC (Other Backwards Classes) students. According to some older censuses, OBC make up more than half of the population (55% IIRC), but there hasn't been a recent caste census sorted yet due to the prime minister labeling it as some kind of marxist anti brahmin ploy (Urban Naxal). Indians will always cry "merit sosity saar we are merit sosity" because they see caste problems the same way they see trash on the road. Literally every other person that isn't deluded by the cuckdian mentality will see how disgusting it is, but the cuckdian always deflects, "No saar the state municipality needs to take care of it saar (not my problem) why issue if I poop on street and put trash saar (not a problem), part of culture saar (you're being a bigot)".

They pretend like caste and issues from it don't exist, try and call you hinduphobic (a real term that's coming from jeet lobby groups in The States) or blame it's creation on other parties like the British, despite sanskrit texts like the manusmriti clearly delineating 5 caste groups far before the British came. In fact, caste is such a problem that dalits have had a habit of going abroad to escape the system throughout history. At the time, they could safely leave without persecution as higher castes believed sailing the seas would disturb gods who used it as their resting place. Been said many times in the thread but just reminding you why this happens, it's because of castes. The high caste ones are the big cheese over there, when they come to white countries they think they are better than you. Yes, they come here illegally to make $4 an hour digging ditches, they think they are better than you if you make $50 an hour, because their low caste dipshit friends back in India are still making 50 cents an hour.

Indians think rape is not that big a deal if your average life expectancy is 35 because of all of the air cancer and both parties involved were probably going to fall off a train a week from now anyway. And again leftards take a hard pass and don't flip nuclear shit like they would if it was a white guy because "it's not rape when a brown person does it because of their shitty culture".

And it's much the same with the rest of the Indian MIC. Every time they try to develop a natively designed system, be it a rifle, a tank, or a fighter jet, it ends up hilariously bad and nowhere near the quality of "comparable" weapons systems from other "peer" countries. They're even inferior to systems typically considered to be on the lower end of acceptable quality and performance, such as from Russia or China. To even have a hope of having an effective military, India is nearly entirely dependent on other countries and their MICs.

They're slowly getting better. The domestic helicopter is ok, the domestic SAMs, MLRS and howitzers work and the domestic jet is finally ready after a 40 YEAR long development cycle.

Unusually their Naval designs are quite competent.

The Russians are actually getting uncomfortable with Indian MiC exports to places like Armenia and the like as they're even undercutting the Chinese on cost, let alone the Russians.

Biggest issue is the lack of a domestic 1,000-1500hp AFV engine and jet/helicopter engines.

Oh and their defense spending was historically a joke and when they asked for things like licensed production, they wanted complete ToT aka the blueprints, methods of construction and even things like metallurgy and Classified/Secret data..... Yeah no.
