This is the ugliest statue ever made, and not
just because its of a retarded monkey idol that Hindu's make sacrifices to. Look at the pose, it's so stiff and uninteresting. Theres no movement, and yes a statue can have that quality. Look at any famous statue and you'll see the masters hand at work helping to bring a static object to life.

A real artist puts their soul into their work. Bartholdi developed the idea that would eventually become the Statue of Liberty for years. Heres some small clay concept sculpts he did over those years, trying to find the "right" one.
Each one is 100x more dynamic than monkey god. The original design for the Statue of Liberty, once it was finalized as a gift for New York, was going to have a pair of broken shackles held in her other hand. The imagery is self explanatory, slavery had been defeated and liberty was now truly free. Ultimately he revised the design, most people don't know this but you can see the broken shackles are her feet. A remnant of her enslavement that also captures her defiant first steps into true Liberty.
Even thought her face isn't exactly beautiful it has a certain stoicalness to it. It's that timeless female face that reaches back to Ancient Greece and Athena herself. Monkey god looks literally blank-faced, like a retarded Jeet being asked to do some work. Theres zero inspiration in it.
