I remember when I was taught that everything is relative and cultural differences should be embraced. It's a lot easier to buy into that paradigm when it's eating curry at a Diwali event with a handful of international students (all probably from rich families) than when seeing this.

Maybe it was an impossible task but holy shit the Brits failed to civilize this region.

This is just the more damning one since the villagers are happy and willing to roll around in it. But Indian nationalists are extremely insecure and know that interacting with cow shit and disgusting behavior is commonplace in India, so they cannot help themselves.
