Interesting how the enjeetification of food delivery in Germany follows the exact same pattern as in quite literally every other European country, if you can name the European country then most of their food delivery is being done by jeets with a study or work permit employed by a subcontractor, with many jeets sharing a single "legal" account. The reason why I'm saying legal is because most of these jeets either aren't allowed to work with a student visa, or their work visa doesn't cover the amount of hours they work per week (usually 8-12 hour shifts every single day of the week). The dumb jeets also get scammed and often arrive to the country in great debt (the people who bring them here pay for their plane ticket, lodgings etc.) and a large part of their salary gets garnished to pay that debt off. Lots of traitors in every European country, from West to East, North to South, are getting paid a lot to enjeetify their countries.

And like in the rest of Yurop, this all happened suddenly during the Goyvid Scamdemic, before that all food delivery was done by locals who either did it full time because they liked the flexibility of it, or part-time to make some extra cash. Almost like this enjeetification is being done on purpose with everyone in lockstep when it comes to methods and timing. If it weren't, at least one country would already put a stop to this, especially given how easily this scam could be legislated away.

It's not just your coworker. The ones beating their chests and howling about India being a superpower are just as keenly aware of the issues plaguing their society and culture.

Indians react so poorly to anti-Indian hate because they know deep down the hatred is earned and the allegations are valid. The same can be said for Bangladeshis and the rest of the subcontinent.

And they aren't just cruel to each other more, they usually also dehumanize other groups more so than the reverse.

Most people from the 3rd world, not just South Asia, are culturally brain-poisoned by a combination of siege mentality and unearned superiority — without ever having been taught critical thinking, self-reflection, and/or enlightenment values, broadly speaking. As a result, even when they understand the problem, they default to a knee-jerk reaction, lashing out and making fools of themselves.

Black people and the majority of POC in 1st world countries suffer from pretty much the same exact problem (delusions of supremacy + victimhood); "3rd world" is really more of a mindset than a matter of geography.

For Americans, what is the situation like stateside with these delivery services? Is it really all old grannies like the one which delivered McDs to Orange Man?

They are selling themselves short. They are worth at least $35 an hour. I hope they know you always start with a higher number to give yourself some room to talk down to. They should be demanding $50 an hour. They are elite human capital, after all.

It's pretty grim and all Indians/refugees who deliver that can barely speak english.

What is hilarious though is when I had to go to SF for work and ordered Doordash there, the delivery driver was an American just like everyone else and handled the order with exceeding competence. Further proof those apps were created largely to serve the Bay Area employees first.
