The Internet Archive has excluded Kiwi Farms from its searches.

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
Can someone make a short tutorial on how to download subforums from archive.is? or make a torrent with keffals, tranny sideshow and other tranny related subforums. Null said that he might make a torrent to with the forum, i need just the tranny stuff.

In a way, this is more sinister than the attempt to force the site offline itself!

People can get their site excluded from the Wayback Machine just by sending a nice e-mail and claiming to be the webmaster. Is there any reason to think this was intentional on the part of the Internet Archive and wasn't just someone trolling?

Message staff about this.. It's worth checking at the very least.

so this is a direct shot in the foot by the same people who made the fake bomb threat
wouldn't you want proof that it 'existed'?
the tranny mind is an interesting one, for sure

I wonder if it would be possible to devise a decentralized solution to the problem of archive policing. Surely some blockchainfag has come up or will come up with something like that.

Lol, looks like the dumbass really went on a banning spree. As someone earlier the thread said, the only reason to hate archiving is if you have something to hide....... so I archived all of these responses, just to piss off the troons.

I'd like to see them demand archive.org and archive.ph to prohibit archiving Twitter.

The Internet Archive is an useful repository for non-controversial public domain materials like old public domain books and other media. To a lesser extent, it is useful for non-controversial web material like personal hobby websites or old local news articles.
For anything beyond that, that is now at least the second documented instance after Taylor Lorenz that Archive.org cannot be trusted not to cave in. I wouldn't be surprised if there were more examples that simply went under the radar so far.

Archive.org also respects robots.txt - web material can retro-actively vanish when the person controlling the content inserts a robots.txt file.

Archive.is/.ph/.md hasn't removed anything so far, but no one knows who is behind them and pouring so many resources into mirroring web pages, and for what purpose. If it is really important, save it locally - you never know when it will be more convenient for the people behind Archive.is to memory hole something, or if they will simply vanish over night without any explanation the same way they have appeared.

You don't need proof when you have a pack of journos reporting everything you say to them as gospel truth. Now they're just trying to clean up because they realize all the egrigious shit they've said hasn't just vanished.

You can do it manually. Just hit ctrl+s. I've been doing that with page 1's but my hard drive is tiny. 40 image heavy pages equaled 1GB.

The issue I see with this is there's no way to prove that you didn't edit it locally. But links to archived tweets etc would still work as long as they weren't taken down.

Edit to avoid double post: I learned a new word! https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2022/06/when-jawboning-creates-private-liability

From my boomer understanding, if there's proof that the government stepped in (there was that retired FBI dude...) there could be some traction there. Especially with the no communication with null and no way to seek damages. But seeing as the law seems tailored to social media sites it might be too narrow in scope for an argument.

This feels like a problem the Blockchain could solve.

Having a NFT would ensure verification/chain-of-custody and proof that the screenshot or capture was real, and it doesn't rely on a third party to host it for you like with these flaky archival websites.
