For those who do or don’t know Boom! Comics is doing a kickstarter for the complete collections of the IRREDEEMABLE
INCORRUPTIBLE and INSUFFERABLE comic series.

The basic line hard cover edition for the set is $160 not including shipping, also you’ll have to wait till April 2023 to actually get that physical copy in your hands.

My question is have you ever read the full series, I read a few issues online and I liked it, but my second question is do you think it would worth it you buy it when you won’t get it till next year and they may end up putting it in store for less.

Also I have to go to bed in a bit because I have work early in the morning, so just keep thing going amongst yourselves (needless to say) and I’ll get back to you later tomorrow.

The Boom comics kickstarter

no one cares about your shitty webcomic also $160 dollars for a comic you wont get for nearly a year is something not even the scummiest Blackrock jew could think up.

@SandyCat are you involved in this?

Irredeemable is good (but by no means original in 2022) with an unbelievably soy ending. You should pirate and read it. It's not worth buying or getting for free in physical form.
Incorruptible is garbage.
I haven't read Insufferable, in fact it's the first time I'm hearing about it.

They all went on way longer than they should have. Irredeemable started off good, and I think would have worked as a 12 issue character study on why Superman needs Clark Kent, maybe even 18 issues. But about halfway through Waid was running out of steam. Though I wouldn't say it's not worth owning, I still enjoy the series. Though yeah, that ending was just dumb. He dies and it's heavily implied the Reed Richards character sent him into an alternate universe, inspiring Siegel and Shuster to come up with Superman.

Incorruptible was an interesting premise: A villain decides he wants to become a hero, but has no moral compass and so is bad at it, plus is still under his super villain identity so no one trusts him. It probably would have worked better as a standalone rather than tied into the Irredeemable world, but Waid didn't do much with the premise so it fell apart pretty quickly. It wasn't terrible but it could have been better.

Insufferable was the flagship in Waid's attempt to get into webcomics: Thrillbent. The idea was to have pros doing creator owned stuff on a site that was free to everyone. Within six months, it went behind a paywall, and shortly after that it was shuttered. Insufferable was not great from the start: It's Batman and Robin, but they're biologically father and son and hate each other. After Batman's wife dies, Robin goes public and outs the pair of them, going Booster Gold and cashing in on his superhero status, while Batman has to go underground now that he's lost his secret identity. The problem was the Dick Grayson character was just as insufferable as the title promised, but that just made it annoying whenever he was on screen. Apparently it was based on the split between Grant Morrison and Mark Millar, and there were a couple of scenes where Waid tried to show that Batman was so focused on crime fighting that he neglected his son, but it didn't help.

Also, I just listed them from best to worst.

Boom has better books to collect. 160 dollaridoos for how many issues? 50? 60? Thanks no.

Makes you wonder if Waid is still knee deep in legal bills/paying Richard Meyers off and this is Boom's way of throwing Waid a couple of grand so he doesn't have to sell any of his nerd swag to pay said legal fees or whatever remaining cash he owes Richard.
