One of the best fan games I've ever played. A great combination of stellar graphics, ambience, and horror! And its free! Be sure to give it a try before passing judgement.
I recommend playing the "Story Mode" version first as it offers the best experience. The beta version is more faithful to the original premise of the game, but tends to be a bit tedious and annoying. Also to note is that this is a graphics intensive game. You don't need a high-end PC, but it helps.

Here's some recordings I took from the games as an example: (Did not include any spoilers)

Im not a big Fnaf fan after the first 2 games, but this has to be one of the best fan games i have ever played.

The amount of effort put into it by a sibgpe person is amazing, and it feels very polished. It could easily be mistaken as an official game

Play through the eyes of Scott Cawthon and his family, as they try to survive inside their own home on the dreadful night that brought the horror into reality, the scorched beings whose origin and motives are yet unknown.
Sounds like meta bullshit commentary on the creation of FNAF. sounds interesting as an idea but would have been better as a game idea coming directly from scott but thats probably just because while I'm not the biggest fan of FNAF his story as a dev does sound interesting.

anyone who can make a decent FNAF fangame that isn't built on Klik n Play with Blender Chuck-E-Cheese models is alright in my book

Oh my God, Klik & Play. Thanks for the nostalgia injection. I almost forgot about the countless hours I spent making awful games in it. I think I still have them all saved on a backup drive somewhere.

FNaF and Slenderman ruined horror games.
When can we have a mainstream, non-Resident Evil survival horror game that actually lets you fight back again? Amnesia, even for all it's unique atmosphere and engaging plot and scares practically pussified every survival horror game in recent years. Now it's either hide or die, even though there are MANY possible weapons lying around (I.E, Outlast in general).

At least give me the POSSIBILITY of trying to fend off my opponents, if only for a brief period of time. Running and hiding shouldn't be my only choice when you face enemies in a survival horror game.
