Sorry for the gay name, I couldn't think of a better way to phrase it.

Hypothetically, let's say there was an actual KF leak and troons somehow managed to gather up all your posts and send them to your employer. Or maybe your HR rep stumbled across your DeviantArt page that you haven't touched since you were 15. What would you have to have posted to get you fired?

Is it the n-word? The f-word? The inflation fetish porn you posted for "research"? Is just having an account on the site cause enough to get you canned?

It doesn't have to be specific to your job. Maybe just consider it as some average desk job for an insurance company or accounting firm or something.
 
I think maybe my threat to violently beat down Leonart Poettering on a pre hax account might draw me some flack, but it would be worth it. Fuck systemd, pulseaudio, and doing stupid shit like making wireless device naming conventions change from wlan0 wlan1 etc to wldhkdfhkdhjsldkfhskdjfhsalkd5 and lkfdhgskdjlhsdkfhhglkf6. He's a prick.

I know that's a big factor; if you work for a company like Google you're probably fucked if they find out you have any connection to this site whatsoever. Conversely, if it's a small construction company or something then they probably couldn't care less.

Whether you want to say if it would get you fired from your job or just an "average" (read: not uber-pozzed) job is up to you.
 
average is a misnomer tho, a lot of people think "average job" is working at McD's which i wouldn't imagine they'd care too much

you seem to think average is a cubical and that's fine too, most of those wouldn't really care either unless you were in some sort of position of authority

some folks think average is collecting welfare, which 100% wouldn't care.

I'd imagine like 1/3 (optimistically) of the people on the forum are unemployed, so they're probably good.

Thankfully if you work locally or do contract work nobody employing you is going to care. A local business turns one of their employees out like that, it's probably going to hurt their business a lot more than it would to deal with the troon squad. I know I sure as hell would never go there again.

That also depends on how aggressive the senders are. Just sending info wouldn't get a McDonald's employee fired, but a moral lynch mob directly targeting the franchise location might.

i get what you're saying but organizing a mob to get a frycook shitcanned feels like punching down and that's ablest or whatever?

what i'm saying is i don't think you'd get a lot of people in on that unless what you were posting was especially egregious, and if that was the case it's not like forum members haven't been cannibalized before.
